They did have a rather large selection of mens watches on show, and not badly priced either, so it's always worth checking out if you're in the area. A nice selection, but not entirely to my taste!

This is not an aesthetic that would appeal to everyone, in fact it probably only appeals to a minority of people for whom gold 'bling' has a particular appeal - whether genuine or ironic - or possibly to some Travellers, for whom St. Christopher is the Patron Saint. I happen to love its brashness and I think it adds character to the range of shops on offer in the market and helps to ensure that Leeds Market appeals to as many different cultures, tastes and people as possible.

There is a range of jewellery items on offer - rings, earrings, necklaces and so on - all reasonable and ranging in price. From what I saw there appeared to be a decent mix of the more modern style pieces and some vintage styled (or at least appeared to be) pieces, which is great as it covers a range of tastes. Not being so fond of the modern kinds of jewellery it was nice to see some items that suited my tastes too. All items look beautifully made and of a good quality. This shop is great for browsing for ideas and will certainly offer up some lovely gift items for birthdays and ocassions etc. If you're near by I'd suggest a quick look in the window at least, even if you aren't shopping!

Well aren't I in for a treat. It stands out from some of the other high street jewellers as the window display is kept so clean the diamonds are extra sparkly. All the designs are classical and elegant, I have difficulty finding something I don't like. I know I am here just to browse, I am pretty sure the sales assistant knows this to but bless him he treats me like he would a paying customer. I don't feel like I have to walk out of the shop when I notice a ring that costs more than my house and can just stare in awe for a while. When that lottery win comes in I will be back to actually buy something. In the meantime this is just one of my places to look but at least you aren't made to feel uncomfortable for doing so.

Shaw Jewellers is great as you can have them engrave special items, repair any watches, clocks or jewellery as they have an on site workshop - this is great if it's a small job; you can bring the item in, go for a lovely cuppa at Olde Booths, come back and collect, done! Pretty useful to have, as I can't tell you how many rings I have ruined by constant usage. As well as these excellent services they also have a pretty decent collection of jewels and watches for one's perusal! Though I couldn't exactly afford to splash out on a whim, I adored their gemstone bracelets which were on display. There was one with multi coloured gems - which I assumed to be carnelian, amethyst, garnet, aventurine and so on (but don't quote me, I could be totally wrong!) and it was pretty exciting. They also seemed to have gold chains galore, some beautifully delicate bracelets, some gorgeous vintage rings and some rather manly watches too. All in all, be it a special occasion or just a special treat for yourself, this is a grand old jewellers to browse.
