Delacy Jewellery is a jewellery shop with character. The jewellery here is bold and brash, with long chunky jewel-encrusted rings that would probably take up half a finger, gold clown pendants, St. Christopher pendants and rings, chunky gold chains and hoop earrings and a wide variety of rings and chains that appear to be aimed at men, with a chunky, angular appearance.
This is not an aesthetic that would appeal to everyone, in fact it probably only appeals to a minority of people for whom gold 'bling' has a particular appeal - whether genuine or ironic - or possibly to some Travellers, for whom St. Christopher is the Patron Saint. I happen to love its brashness and I think it adds character to the range of shops on offer in the market and helps to ensure that Leeds Market appeals to as many different cultures, tastes and people as possible. read more
