The flowers were fresh and smelled great. I selected to go out of my way for Nanas because they were so accommodating for my aunts funeral. She passed recently and Nanas offered that folks could call in to place orders for an arrangement for no delivery fee to the funeral home. They even took my same day as the funeral call for an arrangement. I wasn't sure it was going to be possible but they made it happen. I found a beautiful arrangement, placed the order, and called back to make sure everything went through. He told me the delivery driver had already left, but he went above and beyond and personally delivered the flowers himself. I've ordered flowers for family and friends throughout California, and typically, the arrangements don't always look as good as the pictures online. With Alejandra's Flowers, that wasn't the case at all. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful and looked just like the picture. I'm incredibly thankful they were able to get such a beautiful arrangement to my family during such a difficult time. The order was delivered to her work and I was hoping for an impressive presentation. Unfortunately, it did not meet my high expectations for what I paid for ($100). On a positive note, I was relieved the order was delivered by 2 pm since her shift ends at 3 pm. However, I was not thrilled with the pics my niece texted me of the arrangement that was delivered to her. When selecting an arrangement on the FTD web site, the first thing that caught my attention about this specific arrangement (Star of the Day Floral Cake) was the adorable "Happy Birthday" star topper. This topper was missing. Surprised the florist failed to substitute a floral pick, or something comparable at least. Also, this arrangement was supposed to have 4 straight white candles. It only came with 2, and they were colored and wavy, which made it nearly impossible to see against the colored floral background. Finally, I paid extra for a mylar balloon. The arrangement was delivered with a balloon that I personally feel did not compliment the colors of the flowers, and was not fully inflated. When my niece brought the flowers home that afternoon, the balloon was already half deflated! I'm sure it will be completely deflated and on the floor by the end of the day :(

Upon entry, you will be delighted by their larger than competitor's customer space and their arrangements. Then you'll notice the other 3/4's (or more) of their building is dedicated to florists working tooth and nail to create more arrangements. It was awe-inspiring to see in action, provides transparency to the quality of work they commit to, and doesn't make it claustrophobic like other florists. My regular florist was on a lengthy vacation that would go beyond my son's homecoming, so I had to find another florist who can make up the difference. Thanks to Yelp friend's recommendation, I made a call to Lou Gentiles. This place still provides a human experience over the phone, unlike 2 other florists I "exchanged numeral selections" with. The fellar was very courteous through the entire ordering process and didn't give a single warning that they could not fulfill my on the week of Hoko request. Per the beautiful images of their corsage and boutonnière, my son & his girl were proud to wear them for Homecoming. They even were able to complete an on-site last second request for roses in cellophane! Now THAT'S customer service!
