The owner was amazing though, talked me through how it all works and came round and measured our house and priced up for several carpet types in each room. The only problem was that we couldn't have any samples left behind to umm and ahh over until we made a decision. We didn't get anything fitted by them, not because we didn't trust their business, but just because we found something elsewhere we preferred.

As with most small stores they can be quite expensive but they do also stock some value ranges which are probably quite popular. This store is really nice looking and a pleasure to shop in. Its really clean and well organised and its really easy to see whats available. the staff in the store are really well informd and do all they can to help make sure you are happy with your purchases highly reomended

We went to their workshop and they were extremely helpful and friendly. We looked at different…read morematerials and the options that were available (we selected quartz) and they gave us a quote for the work. The work went ahead and they arrived on the arranged date and measured up. The quartz was prepared and fitted about 10 days later. We had the worktops, upstands and splashback fitted and it was installed, joined and finished to an excellent standard (I have never seen better) and to the agreed schedule. The adhesive used did smell while setting but this soon went away. All the work was completed with minimal fuss or mess. The worktop is really spectacular and our builder was extremely impressed and has also recommended Marble Supreme. I would definitely use them again.

I recently visited her house and experienced said carpet and it was indeed something to rave about. Granted I'm no carpet expert, but this one was a delight to walk barefooted upon; the type of carpet that gives you an inadvertent foot massage and makes you feel all warm inside. Enquiring after the price of this gorgeous carpet, I was given a look that suggested it was by no means cheap. However, she said: 'the staff were lovely'.

At no point did they try to force me into buying anything and it felt like they genuinely had my best interests at heart. If you want good old fashioned service with a quality product then this is your company. It might not have the large, bright premises but the staff are willing to give you their time to help you and will accommodate your needs as best as they can. I don't often write on these review sites but I felt that this was a worthy cause.

The shop seemed crowded and a little disorganised but they do sell some really nice carpets. the store also arranges delivery and fitting so its nice and easy to buy here. They also managed to ruin our newly painted hall stairs and landing by leaving marks up the walls all the way to the second floor. Like so many Portishead businesses they haven't a clue about client facing work and instead of apologising and offering some solution the woman in the shop kept raising her voice and talking over me defending their fitters as i tried to explain the problem. She refused to visit my home to see the evidence and have yet to offer to fix the paintwork. I shall just go elsewhere from now on, and am reluctant to use local traders because Portishead people just don't know how to do business.

Bristol Curtains' quote was straight up and I liked that. They were very professional, but also very neighbourly and laid back. They let us take home a book of samples. They came by and measured up twice just to make sure. We had a problem with the blinds, though: a mis-communication about the style. Nobody's fault. They sent them back on rush order to make them right and they were back soon and perfect! We absolutely love them! They really know the meaning of "customer service" and I can't recommend them highly enough. I would not hesitate to use them again.
