I completely understand that I was not the person who originally paid for the survey; however, the seller provided me with a copy as part of the sale. I then tried to explain that I wasn't calling to question or discuss the previous survey--I wanted to hire him to perform a new survey on the boat. Before I could really explain that, he shut the conversation down and hung up on me. I'm honestly confused by the way this was handled. It should have been a very straightforward job. George had already inspected this same boat approximately four months ago, so I thought it made sense to hire the same surveyor to go back out, inspect the boat again, prepare an updated survey, and send it directly to me. I wasn't looking for a discount or special treatment. In fact, I thought having the same person inspect it again could be beneficial because he was already familiar with the vessel and might notice something that had changed--or even catch something that may have been overlooked during the previous inspection. Instead, I was treated as though I was asking for something inappropriate when I was simply trying to hire the company for a new survey. Based on my interaction with George, I found the communication and customer service extremely unprofessional. In my opinion, this was a very poor way to handle a potential customer, and I would not recommend this company.

He was also honest with us about specific drawbacks of the sapphire we got that allowed us to buy it at that price.
