I'm amazed on the lack of integrity that exist with some business owners. I don't understand how a missing cover off the flywheel transmission housing goes unreported to the customer and supposedly the shop manager. It seems rather suspect that such a significant discovery would go unreported. After I picked up my vehicle, I noticed a loud squeaking sound coming from the engine - I immediately notified the shop about my concern, and I was instructed to return the vehicle on Monday, November 12, 2018, Veterans Day. Jerry, the manager checked out the noise coming from the vehicle and told me to bring it in next week. I of course, could not wait, so I dropped off my vehicle at the Pep Boys on route 22 west, who reported that the flywheel housing cover was missing from the transmission. Unbelievable... would you believe the manager at Lee Myles denied there ever being a housing cover on my transmission - when the transmission on my vehicle has never been worked on until I delivered my vehicle there, how is that possible? This job cost me $3,055.00, and the snow job that they're trying to sell me is priceless. There is no way that the cover would have come off my vehicle without my knowing about it. My vehicle receives regularly scheduled maintenance at the Hound Wash oil change place on 22 east. I returned the vehicle back to the shop on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, and miraculously they happened to find a flywheel cover that actually fits my vehicle - amazing!! They even tried to convince me that they ordered me a new cover.
I have to admit that this experience is an educational moment... I have become a lot wiser on the dishonest business practices some people engage in. They didn't even try to make good on the inconvenience they caused me. I will never do business with Lee Myles if this is the kind of service I can expect. read more
