I found him through the "white pages",…read moreso I will admit that I regretfully did not do my due diligence when searching for a good divorce lawyer. During our initial conversation he said since I was seeking a "simple", uncontested, no fault, no minor children, only one property and with no large assets divorce, that he wouldn't charge me a retainer so the cost would be between $300-$600. He also said that the process would only take a couple of months because this would be very "simple". So, I hired him based solely on this info without me doing any further due diligence. Big mistake on my part. He took over 2 yrs to get my again "simple"divorce done and attempted to give me a final invoice of over $2,000 in addition to the monies that I had already paid. During the 2 yrs, he wouldn't return calls and I caught him in lies such as, saying that I had to have a witness when in fact I did not need one to proceed. Also, had to reschedule a court date because he had to get some info to my ex when that wasn't true (my ex never received the" docs" in question). When I told him of my frustrations he said "okay, I will not charge you anything else", but that also wasn't true. I found Mr. Collier to be unethical, untrustworthy and untruthful. I felt that he wasn't looking out for my best interest but all about his own interests. If you're feeling adventurous and have money to freely give away than be your own judge, but don't say that I did not warn you.

I called…read morehim and we spoke by phone and he indicated that when I fly into town that he wanted to meet in person so we scheduled it. I was home for 1 week and went to court to get qualified as the Executor for my Uncle's estate and had 11 meetings planned that week with Tax CPA's, financial brokers, banks and this Attorney. On the meeting, I found Mac to be extremely personable and very talkative. About the case but mostly about other things that arose that was just learning about each other and our likes and dislikes. We met for almost 2 hours. We didn't finish talking about the case so he asked me to come back and we rescheduled. I went back and was there for about an hour talking and we got through most of the rest of the case and the details but he had another appointment so he asked me to come back a 3rd time. I was unsure why and don't deal with this type of stuff so assumed he had more to tell me and I agreed. The last time we met it was at the end of the day and I had to wait 30 minutes before going in. I was the last client of the day, we exchanged pleasantries and then got down to business and he told me that the original amount he indicated of around $5k which happens to also be his retainer amount would likely be around $10k or more now because he's going to have to do quite a bit of research on this. While this is a confusing case because the original Attorney that wrote the case, wasn't an Attorney in that area and apparently "really messed things up and didn't know what he was doing per the folks that reviewed this", we simply need to go to the court and ask the court for "aid and guidance" and let the Judge know the details and he decides what needs to happen around the Will for the Estate and I, as Executor am bound by this decision per the Attorney's and the Commissioner of Courts. I flew back to CA and then later spoke with various people while handling other aspects of this case. Whenever it would arise, I mentioned what is the fee appropriate for an Aid and Guidance case and they indicated it would probably be around $5k. I called Mac back and left a VM msg indicated I wished to speak to him about the fee as I'm being told that it wouldn't be that high. He didn't return my call. I called a 2nd time and got the Receptionist who told me "all I can do is give him the message". I called and got his VM the 3rd and 4th time and left a message just stating I wanted to simply discuss this and got no response. I called a 5th time and got the receptionist and explained the scenario and she indicated again "all I can do is give him a message and he is very busy". I never heard back from him. Now I have to go find a new Attorney and have wasted 6 months thinking he was my Attorney. I was happy to pay the retainer fee however did not want to do so until I had a conversation with him on why the price had gone up. If it is required, then I would understand I need to pay it but I can't get the professional courtesy of a return call back. Very disappointed in the handling of this situation.

My child received divorce papers from this firm MULTIPLE times and EACH and EVERY time they were received they were WRONG. They kept referring to the husband as a she through out the document - had incorrect names and dates and incorrect address. And they were filing in the incorrect locality of where either of them live. Each of them lives in two different counties and yet they file in the City of Petersburg. My child simply kept telling them that there would be no signing until it was all corrected. There is NO CONTESTING of the divorce - just wanted the paperwork corrected with the correct spellings and address and FILED in the CORRECT LOCALITY. But they served my child with the paperwork and said that due to refusal of signing they were filing anyway in the CITY of PETERSBURG and the divorce would go through. Custody is clearly filed in the county that one resides and YET this law firm filed the divorce in the City of Petersburg all because the address says Petersburg on it and it is listed WRONG, which the correct address had been given listing the county. I have NEVER SEEN so many revisions from a firm on a NON CONTESTANT DIVORCE PROCEEDING in my life! All I can say is RUN!! I guess you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Luckily my child did not pay for this sorry excuse of an attorney. It is CLEAR that the attorney on this DOES NOT REVIEW anything his assistant did. He just signed his name and kept it moving. Doesn't matter what is right or wrong. Hopefully the assistant and attorney will do better moving forward and when the Defendant calls in with correct information - either believe them or check it out yourself to ensure it's true !!!! But DO NOT do what you did with this case!!!

My realtor did not have any suggestions for a cleaning service so I did a google search and the pickings were kind of slim in the area. Incredible Cleaning Services only had 11 Google reviews and none on Yelp, but what was there seemed good and since I needed to move fast I went ahead and contacted them. I was impressed with the immediate response I received when I called the number. I was able to text the houses address and my email and the owner quickly sent me an itemized quote. The quote spelled out everything that would be done and how much it would cost and gave me the ability to remove anything that I did not require. After I removed the items I did not want, I received my final quote for approval and a second email confirming that my cleaning was scheduled a few days after. When the cleaner was en route to my house I received a text letting me know and when she was all finished I received another text. The invoice process was also seamless, as it comes to your email and you can pay it online and add a tip for the cleaner. I have not personally been able to see the work, but my contractor and photographer have both said how sparkling clean the house looks. They even said it looks better than some of the other professionally cleaned houses they have been to. If highly recommend Incredible Cleaning Services if you are selling your house they will definitely make it ready for the market!

I believe they're using variable pricing and they try to tease out who you are and what you're all about before tossing you a seriously unreasonable price. They pitched $500 for cleaning a select area of a single-family house, which is absurdly out-of-the-market, for this type of cleaning for this area. They also told me over the phone that they don't offer the carpet shampooing and cleaning that is shown in their very pictures on their own Google profile because they "don't have the time for that anymore", Their profile pictures on the various review sites show an SUV decked out with paint and graphics to show the company logo, and a professional looking cleaning staff smiling in a conference room. The reality however, is far from that. They appear to be using some kind of AI business-service that continues to upload pictures for them, and I can see, just a month ago, again, they uploaded that same photo of them steam cleaning carpet in a house. But they don't steam clean, or shampoo carpets. Make that make sense for me. Secondly, they told me that one person will be sent to handle a deep cleaning. For an entire house. 2000 square feet, 3000 square feet, it doesn't matter. I asked how that is possible and they told me that their staff is trained to do an entire clean in one go as one person. My hesitation was that that one person would be exhausted by the time they get to the end of any house. I really felt bad for the person they sent to clean because this person definitely did not deserve working conditions like that; they should've been straight-up with this person about how much house it was, and probably sent two or three people, as is pretty standard with every residential cleaning service I've ever seen, especially for a deep clean. Which brings me to: they demanded to do a deep clean and pay the price for that, because their rules say that if you haven't been a regular customer you have to take a deep clean from them, which is several hundred dollars more. I would think as a business talking to the customer, you take what you can get. I only went with them because the other few companies I called still had not even returned my call, but I will certainly NEVER be using Incredible Cleaning again. I recommend you do the same.

The best thing I ever did was to hire Attorney Piracci,PLC . Never having to need a family attorney I was at a lose as to selecting an attorney. After much prayer, and thought I selected Sante Piracci, located right here in Colonial Heights to represent me. I believe I had a complex situation that had many variables. He was extremely knowledgeable and always kept me informed, never pressed me to make decisions without knowing all the options and how I was going to be affected. I was not on a timer when needing to talk with him and always received answers to any questions necessary to leave with his staff. This great attorney and his wonderful staff helped me get my life back and with that I will always be thankful. You can see the burnout or lack of caring (she self admitted that she no longer cared about complaints while at the same time, receiving many of them). In essence, the only thing they may have excelled at are uncontested matters, maybe a criminal one. Apparently, they only have one lawyer to work on family cases. When I determined that I was the recipient of ineffective counsel or ethical wrong by Mrs. Barclay, I tried working with the attorney directly in the course of the proceedings, and then ultimately addressed these concerns of ineffective counsel to the law firm owner. I expected that there would be a concern given, but there was not. I was advised by the law firm owner (Mrs. Ranney) that she could not help, considering her and her husband's background in family law was limited. Given that I tried to rehabilitate our relationship with clear expectations, I was further denied service by Mrs. Ranney due to my complaints or concerns that were credible enough to be reported to the Virginia Bar. I sought return of my retainer at the least (realizing they must be paid for some effort even if it were unscrupulous) However, this was never answered. Counsel in this matter was critical, due to a wife who absconded with my children over a decade ago and denied custodial or visitation. The issues I faced are not limited to: 1) Last minute discovery and poor communication. Whether about admissibility, facts or case direction and intentions. 2) No use of subpoena duces tecum to corroborate findings. 3) Allowing unsupervised interrogatories by GAL or court appointed staff. 4) Failure to make disclosures of evidence or submit interrogatories. No evidence was reported by judge! 5) Failure to proceed on the wishes of client during trial, threatening to leave the case and ultimately causing a show cause to be vacated. 6) Threatening abandonment numerous times over minor disagreements. 7) Fails to immediately recognize and object to inadmissible evidence. 8) Allows opposition to run all over the case. Rolling over at any concern raised by GAL or opposing party. Hesitant to make any push for justice, or seek recompense. During retainment, it was pitched about the enjoyment of such cases, determination to follow through, and aggressive stance. This could be further from the truth. We were treated as another manila folder in the stack. The only thing we expected were emails detailing what "couldn't be accomplished", and lowering the bar on the "aggressive" representation promised from the outset. When contacting other law firms to represent in the appeal, it was clear they were "known" as having difficulties in family related cases, particularly Mrs. Barclay's counsel. You cannot win a case when all you do is waste time putting out the fires... VSB case been opened based on this representation.

They're on the pricey side yet you sometimes have to pay for what you get. They aren't like tv and movie lawyers that do ALL the work for you. They will focus solely on you while working on your case, just remember they have other clients as well and it's helpful to them if you can provide as much intel as possible. I'm sure I have gotten on Martha's nerves several times though she's never let me know lol, because when I get stressed I ask a ton of questions and I start to ramble without letting her speak. She has been direct, firm, but NEVER rude. Guiding me in a direct yet calming way. Times when I'm an emotional wreck and times when I'm in a calmed spirit. Showing me that she truly has our best interest in heart and definitely not in this only for money. She fights for what's best and what's right. And OMG, she's a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Very impressive. You do not want to be on the opposite side of her! And again, she does this for the love of the law and what's right. Not the almighty dollar, from what I've observed on many occasions. Something I find admirable in today's society. This is a law firm built on integrity and it shows. Recently I needed to call her in a panic trying to protect my youngest son. I didn't know she was walking out the door for court, yet she still took my call and answered my question quickly then informed me she couldn't talk to me anymore because she needed to drive to court. Of course in my panicked mind I felt blown off and a massive bother to her (in that blinded moment of mine) but that couldn't be furthest from the truth. She didn't have to take the call at all. I'm saying this to say, thats the type of lawyer and person she is. Even if she has literally one minute, she will give that minute to you. I 100% recommend this mother and son legal team and firm for all of your legal needs.
