The price ranges vary widely across the pieces and I would estimate that most of the pieces run in the a few hundred to a few thousand dollar range - outside of our current budget unfortunately, but reasonable and expected given that they're original fine art pieces. If you are settled in a home and in a position to invest in a piece, this would be a great place to look for one - lovely variety, with many of the pieces obviously inspired from the surrounding natural beauty. My favorite pieces in the gallery were some lovely sculptures of otters hunting for trout - someday! As it is, I was able to purchase some lovely handmade copper earrings, which I'm very happy with. Makes sense.) There's something soothing about walking around the gallery. Perhaps it's just the small town atmosphere that fills the town. Edgewater is just so easily accessible if you ever find yourself wandering around in "downtown" Middlebury. It serves its purpose well as an art gallery, no complaints. (Though, I recall seeing plastic vegetables mounted on a wooden board being sold for several hundred dollars. Everybody's a critic, including me.) This place serves as a great way for local Vermont artists to get their name and work out there. Neat! I bought some cards with his artwork. I also loved the steel sculptures by Jean Pierre Schoss, especially the tiny ones. Cute! I read online they are made from recycled steel oil tanks.

The work here is thoughtful, confident, and diverse, featuring Vermont artists and voices well beyond the region. The mix includes striking mixed-media pieces alongside more traditional forms, all curated with a clear point of view. Nothing feels filler or tourist-oriented. Every piece feels intentional. Jack was a genuine pleasure to meet. He is knowledgeable, generous with his time, and deeply invested in both the artists and the conversations around their work. That care shows in the space itself. The gallery has a strong presence and an inviting energy that encourages you to slow down and really engage.
