The owner was friendly and accommodating and was an excellent chef! I had the Ratatouille Crepe and my partner had an oven baked gratiné with goat cheese and mushrooms. Both were absolutely delicious. The drinks were humble and inexpensive. We sat outside and had the best meal. This small restaurant is NOT to be overlooked. Make it a point to eat there at least once, and try a Kir Breton!

The cheese and meat ratio was perfect- in my opinion. ;). I also used the bread to sop up more of the cheese/sauce from the pasta. It. Was. AMAZING. Also if your looking for a pepperoni pizza, get the Chorizo pizza without the egg and it's also pretty darn good!! The price for three of us with wine was about €50 so not too bad! Overall: go get yourself some lasagna and make your tummy happy!!

I went with the lunch platter, which came with kafta, hummus, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, and rice and it was excellent. In fact, we had tried going to Ya Habibi around the corner and they were fully booked up (they sent us to Byblo's, their sister restaurant). This was so surprising to us as we were in France during the off-season and had never had any trouble getting into restaurants the entire trip! This also tells you a lot about how popular both these restaurants are. THE COST: 64€ for dinner for two. On the pricey side! THE SERVICE: As I mentioned, slow. We were served by 3 different people, and it was confusing who our actual server was. I do appreciate that when we sat down, our first server warned us they were going to have loud music and dancing in an hour (we had a baby with us). Our baby also got pretty fussy but no one minded. There was an English menu and the staff spoke decent English. All of the customers seemed to be French/Lebanese. When the belly dancer started, a group of girls who were dining together joined her! FYI this restaurant is very small, so the belly dancing goes up and down the main, narrow corridor of the restaurant. THE FOOD: * Falafel - 4 stars Nice thick crisp. Came with some veggies, but we should have gotten hummus, as the falafel was a tad dry without it. The pita bread was very thin. * Hummus - 4 stars Thick and delicious! * Orfali (19€) - 3.5 stars The eggplant was a little undercooked in some spots. The meat had good flavor, but was a little dry and really needed hummus. The fries were soggy and sad. The salad was simple, with a light sharp dressing; the tomato was too hard and not ripe. * Mashawi (24€) - 4 stars Lamb was the best, juicy and smoky flavor. Chicken also pretty juicy. Minced beef and eggplant was basically the Orfali. Rice was plump, soft, really good.

Nothing fancy, just a relaxed, welcoming spot that feels like somewhere locals would come for a good meal. The simple menu made it easy to decide. We had chicken, kofte, lamb kebab, and moussaka--a delicious, satisfying spread. We finished with both the nut and pistachio baklava. Both were delicious, but the pistachio was my favorite! Our total bill was €55, which felt well worth it for everything we enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit--come hungry and save room for baklava!

We ended up eating there FOUR times during our stay. Just about every restaurant on the Cours offers the same menu: pizza, pasta, and seafood. Di Yar offered Lebanese fare that was refreshing and delightful while maintaining the distinctive French Riviera feel. The service was friendly and personable, and the food was delicious. They had a wonderful lunch special which featured six different plates of Lebanese favorites: hummus, tabouli, falafels, kibbeh, kefta, and the little pastries (similar to spanakopita). We like spicy food (we learned France is not the place for spicy food) and they actually had a harissa sauce that really brought the spice up to a respectable level. The last day we were homeless from 11am waiting for our train (after we checked out our AirBNB) and they took our bags and stored them in the restaurant during our two hour lunch. They were so kind and we even met a customer who's been coming to the owner's restaurant for nineteen years! Highly recommended. We'd eat there again without hesitation.

Funny story, I don't speak French but I completely understood a conversation with the guy behind us that just ordered. He must have seen us and a bunch of others waiting in line, and he just decided to wait as well. He gets to the front of the line and asks, do you have tacos? The worker says no, we have kabobs. Do you have burgers? No, just kabobs. Ok, I'll take a kabob wrap! I'm sure he went home happy.
