It requires so much organization of things I…read morecare so little about and the utilization of the portion of my brain that deals with math- which I rarely use. It only seems to be getting worse as I get older- isn't that the name of the game folks? Anyway- the hubs and I decided to come here to get our taxes done this year simply because we have too much grownup stuff going on in that little file folder to do it ourselves online any longer. Gone are the days of our 20s when we could get them filed and raring to go in 15 minutes. I've been putting this horrid chore off for a while now, and knew I'd pay for it with huge lines and waiting in an ugly room with a bunch of tax-procrastinating freaks not unlike myself. Cue H&R Block's nifty little online "book an appointment now" feature. Perfect, right? I make an appointment for 2pm and it tells me who will be helping me- great, fine good! We show up at 2, and the woman who has been assigned to us is still working with someone else. Mind you, there are 4 other random H&R Block tax preparers just sitting in their cubes eating ramen and drinking cokes. I could really give a flip who "prepares" my taxes, but could we get on with this quick like the sickness so I can get on about my freaking day? What the heck is the point in making an appointment if you are going to assign me to someone who is busy and then I have to wait anyway even though you are paying other employees to sit around and stare at the carpeted walls of their desk space? We got up and left after 15 minutes waiting. They only get the second star simply because the man who checked us in followed us out to our car and tried to get us to come back in so he could help us. Sorry- you lose. I already have one foot in my SUV. You should have thought about taking care of us while we were sitting in front of your desk instead of half way through the parking lot, captain obvious. Needless to say, I will be taking my taxes elsewhere this tax season.

She doesn't take responsibility for her own terrible actions and so she speaks poorly of this H&R Block, when, in fact, it is the best one in the city of Memphis. there's never a wait, you can use whomever you want, and it's quick and easy. I live in NYC now, but I still FedEx my tax person my forms because of the great service that they have provided me over the years. If you can, get Mrs. Rachele. She is the best.
