This is a very well-run organization where parents are given the opportunity to contribute. It has the feel of a "college" but for youngsters, where as you can pick and choose courses as you please. It's a safe, non-threatening environment where teachers are encouraged understanding the students needs and individual circumstances. My child has had the opportunity to thrive and we love the fact that much information is given regarding college prep. My three kids all go or have gone to Leaves since we moved to Cincinnati eight years ago, and they love it. My eldest (now in college) was very well prepared for college there and had numerous opportunities for leadership, which was just what she needed. Her teachers, and Diana, the director, gave her lots of opportunities to learn outside the classroom too. My son had a math teacher this past year that just wouldn't give up on him. She worked with him at lunch and before school until he finally understood, and he's learning algebra independently now and doing well. My son has been at Leaves of Learning for 10 years now (starting at the Grailville Barn in Loveland!) and all I can say is that this enrichment program has helped to shape the person he is today (now a HS Junior!). The teachers, administration and students have been an incredible part of his life. He has had the opportunity to take an amazing variety of classes ranging from Fencing to Performance Shakespeare to Physics to Gaming Through History! Disappointed that school communicates so poorly with parents there was no communication by teachers or administration about my student's not attending classes until the end of the semester when it was too late to make any corrections. Their online video made it look so wonderful but it turned out to be too good to be true. If your child has difficulties in school don't expect this school to let you know about them . I have heard mostly horrible things about this private school. We tried it anyway. Big mistake! The lady who runs is rude, incompetent, and unprofessional. Teachers and classes are not worth the money. Many kids are bullied, including my own. I would not recommend to anyone. It's very expensive and they expect parents to do a great deal of volunteer work. Beware!! read more

My kids attended Leaves for years and years. I LOVE this program! The teachers are respectful, the kids learn at their own pace, and no one is bullied. Highly highly recommend. I have three home schooled children who attend Leaves of Learning and we're entering our eighth year there! The culture of Leaves of Learning is one of respect and my children have truly grown and thrived there. They've taken an incredible array of courses from excellent teachers. IF your child is completely able to be independent in every way, and can handle bullies, short-tempered teachers, cliquey kids, a self-righteous director, a confusing building, and wandering around with no supervision at lunch and free time, then this is the school for you. We experienced all of that at Leaves of Learning before my child was asked to leave because they did not want to deal with her. It could be a great school, but the director is simply not in touch with reality. She said some very hurtful things to my child and to the parent of another child. It is a social "sink or swim" kind of school. Reminded me a bit of the book Lord of the Flies. read more
