Scheduling sessions has always been easy, flexible, and consistent. They truly take the time to match students with the right tutor based on their individual needs, which reflects how professional and dedicated their team is. After taking about a year off, I noticed a slight decline in my son's study habits, which led us to enroll him again during his 8th grade year. Since returning, I have seen a tremendous improvement not only in his study habits, but also in his grades, confidence, and overall attitude toward learning. The support, structure, and encouragement provided by his tutors have made such a positive impact on his academic growth and motivation. His tutor this year, Theta, has especially helped build his confidence in math and strengthen his understanding of the material. As a result, he has received Honor Roll every quarter so far and felt much more confident taking the PSATs this year. I'm so grateful that we found Quick Stars Tutoring. Our son has genuinely enjoyed his experience and recognizes how much it has helped him academically over the years.

There is ample free parking in front or on the side of the building. The learning center is located past the food courts. The center is clean and welcoming. Covid precautions are in place with sanitizers and desk/stations separated by clear partitions. Staff wear face coverings. They currently offer both online and in person sessions. Mr. Chung is professional, laidback, and is a calm presence around students. He assessed my kids individually and came up with a plan to start at their level and take them to higher learning. He plans to work with them for PSAT, SAT, and ACT testing. He encourages them while expecting their very best. He and Mr. Koa have worked with both of my keiki and after only one session, they were ready to return the next day. We have had several sessions since and both have improved with not only their knowledge, but their confidence in their mathematical abilities. Pricing is great and they offer hours during the week as well and the weekends. But what sealed the deal was his display collection of Ultraman mini-figures! Shuwatch! Highly recommended.

Mr and Mrs.Chung are amazing teachers and help you with your math skills and you develop a amazing advantage in math. I love them both and their beloved summer session. There is also a writing class .. the morning class is taught by Andrew although I'm not in the math class I heard he's a amazing writer and teacher in math too. I'm in Ms.Sumida's class and I enjoy her and the writing environment she puts in our mind. I absolutely love to read and write so I felt at home right away. My son who has ADHD was failing his classes in the 4th grade. He couldn't remember his multiplication and he would always dread doing any homework or practicing his vocabulary or multiplication. When I enrolled him, he never complained once going to his session. This place is small and offers one on one attention to the student. Kumon, for example, doesn't work well for my son. He needs someone to be there to explain, motivate, and help him understand step by step. Although you don't get the same tutors each time you go, the tutors here are Amazing. I sit in the waiting area and hear each one of them tutoring the kids. The tutors are kind and understanding of the needs of the child. I was really impressed with how they handle each student's learning styles and caters to them. Kudos to this place. My sons learned so much even after a few sessions and it's made such a big difference. Plus each time you go, you get what's called "wiz dollars" and my son gets excited each time so he could earn enough to get a toy. This place may be more than other tutoring centers but it is 100 percent worth it.

So what can I say these is the best tutoring service I ever seen, they are very compasionate tutors. I saw a huge improvement on both of them. It seems pricey but it really is cheap Kumon subjects ranges from $120 to $150 per subject for 20 mins only twice a wk. While Wizkidz is $720 for a 70 mins per session (20session plus registration) twice week for almost 3 months. They just do not focus on 1 sudject for preK's they cover everything and make learning so fun. I wish I could continue my toodler for another session but due to work sched change and distance these will be there last wk. I do highly recommend Wizkids will definitely come back.

She's also very proud and stubborn sometimes, so she didn't ask for help until she was almost failing the quarter. With one day before her end of quarter exam, she finally asked me to find a tutor for her. I found Lance here on Yelp and he was able to fit her in for a last minute lesson. My daughter was being very timid on our way to meet him, and I could tell she was having a major confidence issue since school generally comes easy for her. We met Lance, and they got right to work as I sat at a nearby table to give them space, even though I'm pretty protective of my baby around strangers. After the hour was up, I saw the confidence back in my little girl's eyes again, and she was all smiles and compliments as we talked about how she liked Lance, and how the lesson went. She said she really likes him, and that he took the time to explain everything in detail. She also said he made the lesson really fun, and that it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it was going to be. She was pretty stoked about the composition book he gave her with all of their notes and sample equations in it from her lesson. We will definitely be coming back, Lance really did a great job. Seeing my little girl that excited about learning, and watching that light return to her eyes made it worth every penny.

Admittedly, with our older child, we did not go this route because we thought it was a bit ridiculous to send a 4 year old to tutoring to get into kindergarten...esp a child who is very well behaved and academically advanced. However, despite that, the older child had difficulties going into the interview rooms and feeling comfortable working with unfamiliar adults at the interviews. The outcome wasn't what we had hoped and dreamed for her. We decided for our younger child that we'd bite the bullet and pay the hefty price tag to do all that we could to help her feel more comfortable and prepared for the interviews. And it worked! She got into our top choice after having a very easy (and fun, as she said) time at the interviews. The schools don't seem to be looking for the brightest student, but rather the student who can adapt to new environments, situations, peers, and adults. They seem to be looking for children who feel comfortable engaging and communicating effectively in these new environments with new people. Juku not only prepared our child academically, but socially with peers and adults. This was done through both the mock interviews and also switching up who the children work with 1:1 each time. The tutors are all very kind, fun, and encouraging. My child really enjoyed going! Though it can be shocking to feel the need to send a child to a tutor for a kindergarten interview, the way we looked at it, is that we are providing her with all the tools we can to help her succeed. If it works, great, and if not, we know we did all that we could to help her.

Understanding that the SSAT is one of the metrics by which applicants are measured, we decided to take him to Juku to see how he would fare. After the initial test, Dr. Takahashi suggested that he would benefit from tutoring so we had him spend 2 hours twice a week starting in May with some breaks during the summer. To my surprise, he really enjoyed Juku! I have never heard him label school as fun so I had to ask how Juku was different from school. His reasons were "one to one" attention, "learning at my own pace", and learning from tutors who were "fun and eager to teach". He actually likes it so much that he wanted to continue tutoring after taking the SSAT! He took the SSAT in November, performed above the target range for the most competitive schools, and was ultimately admitted to all of the schools to which we applied. I can't say how much of a role his test scores played in his acceptances, but I think test-taking is a kind of skill useful for any student. He learned specific test-taking strategies for the SSAT, like skipping questions to avoid losing too many points. We also felt the practice tests at Juku helped him familiarize himself with the exam setting. Finally, Juku was available for any question about the application process along the way, a valuable resource in and of itself.
