Every single morning when dropping him off I had to find out who is going to be his teacher and which room he has to go to The same applied for when we would pick him up in the afternoons, there was never any consistency of which room to get him from. They would often times consolidate rooms for kids who were around the same age so it was always hard to find his belongings, like jackets and blankets. One time he managed to slip away from the workers while they were outside. He could open their interior gates. He was all the way by the main gate when I got there without anyone noticing at all until I said something. My husband also saw one of the workers grabbing another child roughly by the arm and yanking her around. None of it sat well with us. They would give my son school snacks and food while I already told them that he has allergy and he has his own food in his lunchbox! Mackenzie the principal is always hard to find and talk to but she would call you directly regarding payment and application! She basically will deny any of the issues that I brought up to her. Also there is no structure or learning materials, they just let the kids play and they watch them when they are sitting on their chairs. Their teachers are not required to have any education or qualifications as I look them up on Indeed!

The classrooms were clean and the children were engaged. Overall a very nice school.read more

A full year in the books being with Katie's Kids preschool and our family has never been happier!…read more I personally have been involved in my kid's daycares before we moved to Eagle, ID (and also my oldest daughter's school experience being that she is special needs), so I am a bull dog mama making sure the right people are taking care of my kids. The teachers and staff working at Katie's Kids along with Katie herself are exactly who I want molding and helping my children learn and grow. To be honest, reading one of these negative views gets my blood boiling because Katie works so hard to give/provide the best possible experience and atmosphere for our children and her staff. Katie is a BOSS LADY because she has has built her business from the ground up and to be honest if it were a man we were talking about no one would be questioning it. Women need to be lifting other women up not trying to tear them apart. Also, Katie is more direct then most so because she is direct and has strict policy on sickness/illness (to protect her and the school from liability) she is now seen as a rude?!! My kids have had Hand foot, Mouth, pink eye, etc. so we have had to take our kids out for days and weeks at a time. Unfortunately, that is part of the drill when your kids go to daycare/school. They are going to get sick sometimes more often especially if they are new. And believe me it's hard working with your kids home but if your kids are sick or have a contagious bug then no matter what school they are at you would have to keep them home. What I really want to emphasize is that the teachers are happy and you can tell they are part of a family there and I feel that way too. Katie and Wendy are always available; their door is always open if I need to discuss anything but I find myself sharing our lives and all the positive things my kiddos are doing and learning. Leaving your children everyday in the care of someone else is scary and hard to do. I have had family help raising my children, previous day care facilities, an in home facility and school so I know all facets of this industry. That said, I have an almost 2 year old and a 5 year old at Katie's (my oldest is in 1st grade) and we feel good dropping them off EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. My kids are loved and celebrated. They are taught to be kind, respectful and overall good humans which is hard to come by in this day and age. We are blessed to have Katie and her staff in our lives taking care of our children while my husband and I both work and I hope you check it out and find out how wonderful it is for yourself!

The day I went in for a tour, Sarah showed my husband and I around. She made my family and I feel so welcomed and comfortable. My daughter loved it right off the bat, so I chose to enroll her here. Its been about 6-9 months already with her being enrolled and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made. The teachers and staff there are so warm and friendly! My daughter loves going there everyday! After, she comes home and makes sure to tell us what she learned. We enrolled our daughter when she was seven months' old and she has been through two rooms and sets of teachers. We have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone involved. Ms. Sophia and Ms. Morgan are both incredibly sweet and kind to the babies in their infant room. My wife went to Active Minds during her lunch break to breastfeed for the first few months and observed how both teachers cared for and loved on the infants. They are impressively good at getting our daughter to drink enough milk and get adequate naps so we get a well-fed and well-rested girl when she comes home. Ms. Abby in the 1 year old/crawlers room is a superstar. She is friendly and nice every time we see her and has helped our infant turn into a walking, babbling, and eating toddler!
