As a first time mother I was very nervous to leave my newborn child with anyone other than immediate family..but I had to go back to work! I did an extensive review months before I was due ( even reviewing Yelp reviews!) and came across Learning Jungle- Escondido. I made an appointment and was given a tour by the Center's Director. As soon as I stepped into the facility I was happily greeted by staff. It was so nice to see so many of the children's arts projects, toys, and books around. I was then given complete insight as to what to expect after I dropped my son off. I decided to go with Learning Jungle- Escondido. The day finally came where I had to go back to work- 9 weeks after birth! I brought all the necessary things and was then greeted by Mrs. Mayra. She was so unbelievably kind to me as she could sense I was nervous and sad to leave my son ( I may even have cried!). She gave me a complete run down of what they would do that day and even said she would text me updates and pictures throughout the day. From that day forward I have never felt anything but absolute peace of mind when going to work. Dare I say that I have leaned on Mrs. Mayra a little too much during tough times when trying to adjust to being a new mom and not knowing what to expect or how to remedy colds ( and constipation) with my son. She has been gracious in answering all of my questions during the day and providing me some solutions that have helped immensely. I also want to commend Ms. Brynne who has also been a great caregiver as well. She has been really great with my sons PM care. Its always been nice to be greeted by her smile when I pick my son up, letting me know how he has been that day. Needless to say, here we are and my son just turned 11 months and my son is thriving! Its been so fun to see the daily photos Mrs. Mayra and Ms. Kathy send every day! Sadly, we soon will be relocating due to my work however if I could take Archer's teachers with us i would! It will be an emotional day when we have to leave but I am eternally grateful to have found Learning Jungle-Escondido and I would recommend their care to anyone who is need of honest, safe, and loving care for their child. read more

I was interested in having my 1 year old come here and was super excited and got a virtual tour loved it !!! Teachers where so nice and excited loved their schedule also, they were excited and made it seem like we can start tomorrow. Once I brought up the CCTR program ( government funded program) the whole mood shifted all of sudden they didn't have no space until February ( I applied in December) no big deal. When February came they said to check back in the middle of February so I did. Mind you IM CHECKING IN NOT THEM!! I checked in again and then they said they don't have anything all the way until JULY. I definitely feel like if they knew I was gonna pay they would have took us literally the next week, it was very disappointing. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. it is horrible. The owners do not care about kids and their development. there is no playground at all and all the pictures are fake the few things that they have outside have all been donated. The school keeps telling parent of all the wonderful thing that they are going to do but they do nothing. what a horrible place. read more

My son loves it here. Myra and Kathy have cared for my son at Learning Jungle since before he could walk. I could'nt have chosen a better daycare for my son. They are constantly keeping my son stimulated and he comes home with so many arts and crafts. My son's learning is ahead of the curve at barely two years old. They are constantly showing that they care by sharing pictures throughout the day. Videos of him learning, playing with sensory stimulating toys and more. My son loves being here. He gets to play all day in a safe loving environment. He has learned so much from his teachers and is always coming home with adorable projects. All the teachers are all great and really put in a lot of effort. Miss Kathy and Mayra even send adorable videos and photos of their daily activities. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. It truly is like a big family. My son has been coming here since he was 3 months old and it's so great to have teachers like Miss Kathy and Miss Mayra to take care of him. Leaving your precious child in someone else's care is nerve wracking but they made it easy. My son's teachers always keep me updated on how he's doing with notes and pictures and creative art projects. I don't want to forget to include some of the other staff. Very professional staff, during COVID they adjusted very well and created great safety precautions to protect our children and allowing us to work, this was a huge display of their level of care. Our son is watched by a lady named Mayra. She is professional caring and if you ask her too will speak in Spanish to your child (this was important to us). We give her the huge shout out but the staff as a whole is amazing. The communication skills between parents and staff is great. The other patrons and their children are friendly and our children get along a bonus. read more

My son has been going here since he was 3 months old and is now 9 months. I have had nothing but a positive experience with his care here! He has been ahead of the game compared to other infants reaching all his milestones because of his teachers like Ms. Myra, Ms. Edith and Ms. Brynne. He seems so advance compared to my other kids at his age and to babies his same age level. He seems so happy and content when I pick him up and there is not one day I am not satisfied with my decision to put him in this daycare. The infant and toddler room is always so clean and neat!!! The staff sends daily photos to of your baby which makes it feel like a second family. Mrs. Edith is such a nice Director and addressing all your concerns right away. I appreciete the daily communication I receive both verbally and from the written "daily's." I also love how I am given friendly advice, that is in no way pressuring me to care differently for my baby, but rather a way to keep things consistent at daycare and at home. My daughter went here from 12 weeks old till she was about a year old. First off, the director Susan is awesome. She always has a nice attitude and addressed my concerns whenever I had them. Ms Lupita is also a great teacher in the infant room! You can tell she really has the love for kids! Although, there were things that seriously bothered me about this place. One was the changing out of staff. I can't say the same for the other classes but for the infant room I felt like there was too many staff coming and going. There was only Ms Lupita who was there till my daughter left. But when she went on maternity leave for a few months and I think I seen about 4 different teachers.. it just bothered me because my daughter didn't really like people she wasn't familiar with. Second was when ever a new teacher came in they would always get something wrong! Either they would loose some of her clothing... they would overfeed her... or change my daughters diaper like 13 times in one day.. I went through a pack of 88 diapers in one week there (like diapers are cheap). Although, when I talked to Susan about these concerns she would always correct the issues immediately which is why it didn't bother me long. My daughter would of kept going there if I didn't have family offer to watch her for a whole cheaper price(free free free)! Lol.. all in all I would recommend. read more

Please review all licensing information regarding this facility before enrolling your child/children here. They will make it look and sound good during the tour and enrollment but the care your children receive will not match. Please do your research! read more

This daycare is "play based learning" and "child directed", Which could be good. However these teachers have ZERO control over the kids. There is no structure, and the kids are yelled at for not listening. My son went here for 6 months. I immediate pulled him out when I realized what was going on. My son constantly asks if he is a bad boy, and if I am mad at him. Every little thing he fearfully asks "are you mad" and refers to himself as a "bad boy". He is 4! The kids do no do any art. All children have access to open all doors and gates. Including the gate to the parking lot. And the school thinks it is ok because "the children know not to open them". But when my son ran out of the classroom unattended to the playground, they wanted to suspend him for 2 days. Needless to say, this is definitely not somewhere I would recommend taking your child. Daycares should not be run by corporate, and directors should not have to "seek guidance" on how to handle things. read more

Of the daycare places I looked at in Escondido, Learning Jungle Escondido is the best option. My kids would still attend if I hadn't moved out of the area. My toddler really liked his teachers, liked to play with the other kids there. They had a great outdoor area that was mainly shaded. They had good activities. They worked fairly well with him on potty training at a relatively young age. My baby did well there. There is a fair amount of turnover for the caretakers in the baby room. The supervisors seem to be a solid core group, but the new teachers seemed to come and go faster than I could keep up with. Susan, Lizzie, and Lupita are good at attention to detail to be able to maintain a good level of care. When there were problems that came up, they were good about communicating them with us. Like I said, my kids would still be happily attending, and I'm grateful for the quality care they gave them. read more

Worst place ever so many issues and the staff turnover is insane please do not enroll your child here whatsoever Elizabeth the Director has no clue as to what she's doing when you bring issues to her attention she doesn't really seem to care or at least makes it seem as she does but doesn't ever seem to make any changes. Last year my daughter was enrolled here something was always happening to her in the infant room she was always getting bitten or scratched by another child. When I brought it up to the director Elizabeth she didn't seem to say nor do much about it. This place has been reported several times to liscening everytime their is an incident with a child they will lie in the incident report and never have an answer when you ask her what really happened she will either say "I wasn't their" or "this is what I was told". One staff member stated to me last year that they don't have a clue why the director is still their if she doesn't treat the parents well. Several times my daughter would come home with bruises and scratches and so would my son as well. We eventually took both of them out and thankful we made the best decision for them both . Please don't waste your time they will make it seem all nice and dandy at first but after its a total mess. Susan was awesome but the other lady Elizabeth has no clue what shes doing. read more
