A few of the bikes available.

After being away from riding for over 15 years I decided on Learning Curves to get me back in the game. Just finished and passed my M2 training and test with them at their London Ontario location. I can't give enough praise for not only their professionalism but their humanity and patience. John, Beulah and Brett worked with our class of 12 riders with vastly different experience levels beautifully. They balanced the needs of all of us and made sure everyone got what we needed from the course. The different bikes available made it easy for us to try out what suited us best and to be able experience the differences between them. I can't recommend Learning Curves enough with these instructors! While I can't speak for other locations and instructors, the ones I experienced were the best. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience learning to ride a motorcycle with these people.

Unfortunately, the experience with Joseph was extremely disappointing. He spent the first five lessons having me focus almost entirely on basic steering on regular streets. Whenever I asked to work on real skills like lane changes, intersections, or highway driving, he simply dismissed the request and continued with the same basic drills. This held back my progress and did nothing to improve my confidence. What made matters worse is that by the end of lesson 7--despite giving me almost no opportunity to advance--he was already asking me to book more lessons. At that point, it was clear that the goal was to prolong the process rather than genuinely help me improve. Very unprofessional and a waste of time and money. I do not recommend this school/instructor to anyone looking for honest, effective driving instruction.

When I tried to follow up, I was met with extreme rudeness and aggression. The instructor, Joseph, was especially hostile and made the whole situation very stressful. You will regret choosing driving 101 driving school. This place needs to be investigated and shut down.

I truly believe all the positive reviews and that most people likely have great experience; if someone needed a driving school I am likely to recommend them. I just think that my experience needed a few extra tweaks to get a higher rating, personally. I didn't love that I had to go to their house for pick up and drop off. I often waited for my instructor to go into his house and "use the restroom", get himself a coffee, and started late often. My first lesson, I thought we jumped into things way too fast even though I explained that I had no idea what I was doing (we did a left turn immediately which is a lot for your first ten seconds of driving). My instructor often grabbed my wheel even as the weeks progressed - I did 13 hours total lessons - instead of actually verbalizing what he felt like I was doing wrong. This became very frustrating and I realized it was eroding my confidence versus building it up. What my biggest complaint is overall were the sheer number of errands I was taking on, on my dime, while I sat in the car waiting. I asked time and time again to practice parking, and we did once or twice only. I sat in the car once for over twenty minutes (I'm paying by the minute) while my instructor bought himself a battery. It was infuriating. I once picked up someone for him and drove them both back and my lesson ran over by thirty minutes (was not charged but I was late to pick up my son!) Another thing that happened was the day of my test, I was not in control of the experience at all. They told me to book my G2 at Oakville which really makes no sense and costs me 100s more to travel out there. He also made me book hours ahead of the test to "practice", but didn't end up doing any practicing. (Also, one of the errands we ran one time was to fill the gas tank for one of his students because "you need a full gas tank to take the test", but then for my test we didn't have a full tank so I asked about it, turns out that was total bs lie to get me to run an errand on my dime). Travel time is included in the cost of the G2 test, but he tried to double charge me both for travel time and for "practicing", and it's only because I spoke up that he adjusted it - if I was 16/17, I would have been walked all over. I didn't pass the test even after 13 hours of lessons, and had to do another lesson w a different business to pass. Overall - not the right school for me.

They didn't even have a Facebook page (shocking isn't it?!). Well long story short. I'm very glad I enrolled here. For $372ish you get 20 hours of in class lessons (4 classes from 9am to 2pm), 10 hours of homework (which is a book they give you and you do the activities at home (literally took me 2 hours of actual homework, the rest was done in class with the instructor) and 10 hours in the car. They also offer weekends too, it just depends when they are holding sessions. Now i really cherish my sleep so waking up at 7am to go to a 9am class was brutal for me. But Stanisa which i'm not sure if he's the owner or instructor, maybe both, was funny and you actually pay attention. The first class was the basics and review of stuff u study for your g1, and then talks about signs, rules, regulations, federal/municipal signs etc. Class 2 was focused on driving/parking in the city and safety. Class 3 was more on highway driving and highway signs. Class 4 was based on how to buy a car, things to look for, how to change your tire, what different things in the car mean, drinking and driving, blood alcohol level, etc. Also classroom holds about 20-30 students, 90% teenagers, but a few odd ones like myself whom delayed getting their G2. :$ The in-car sessions were very good, Stanisa has pretty fast braking reflex.. haha, and explains things very thoroughly. I'm planning on doing 1 hour with him for my G as a refresher.

I found her offensive stand offish lacking in interpersonal skills and customer service/business acumen. She expected payment on classes that our daughter did not attend due to illness and offered a small percentage of make up classes. When it came to extending any latitude given the excessive absenteeism, she made no exceptions and on several occasions, threatened to discontinue classes for our daughter if the account standing was not "current" She did this quite glibly as if they were working an assembly line not a music school who teaches kids. On several occasions I requested an account ledger to view how many classes we had actually paid for versus the classes we attended and Sharon agreed to divulge. It was not until several requests and weeks later that she refused to divulge, siting privacy issues with the account holder ( my daughter's mother ) even after I had been given the task of having to deal with the account because my x spouse no longer wanted to. If you want personal care with your child in a music school this is not the one.
