It took me a long time to start my driving lessons... mostly because of an odd and irrational fear…read moreof driving instructors. But I did end up booking my first (and subsequent) lessons with Knights and I definitely chose the right company. Upon me telling him that I was extremely nervous, Peter (the owner/instructor) immediately made me feel at ease and was both professional and friendly throughout my lessons. Something a bit different with this driving school was that Peter makes videos showing different manoeuvres that you will be learning. Before each part of the lesson he would show the video of what you were about to learn. You could also purchase a copy of the DVD for $20 and use it at home to practice between lessons. Peter would tell you what you would be learning in the next lesson and you could watch those sections beforehand. In some cases I was able to watch the video and then immediately pass that section of my log book at my next lesson (noting that this was without any driving in between lessons because of my nervous parents!). I found this so helpful and it saved me a lot of money on lessons. Peter was also very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. On my final (assessed) drive, I was so nervous that I accidentally went over the speed limit in the first five minutes. Many instructors would fail you and make you book another final drive (and pay again) but Peter got me to pull over the car, take some breaths and calm down and then he let me restart the assessment. The second try I passed with 99%. To me this was absolutely going above and beyond and I appreciated it so much. I'm now a confident and safe driver and I definitely attribute that to Knights.

He was very patient, demonstrated things I didn't understand and his explanations were clear. I have now finished the logbook training and now driving with confidence. Thanks Tony.
