This program failed my child. After enrolling my son, who has autism, I was informed that they could not accommodate him and he was removed. There was no clear explanation of what supports were attempted, nor any meaningful effort to collaborate with our family before making that decision.
What made this experience even more upsetting was the behavior of the program's owner, Sharon. She was extremely unprofessional and spoke about my son, including making comments about his face, as if he were not present. As a parent, that was both disrespectful and deeply hurtful--especially considering my son's diagnosis.
In addition, when I requested a written explanation outlining why my son was no longer allowed to attend, she refused to provide one. A program that claims to support children should be able to communicate clearly and respectfully with families, especially in situations like this.
Families of children with additional needs deserve transparency, compassion, and a genuine commitment to inclusion. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I strongly encourage other parents to ask detailed questions about how children with diverse needs are supported before enrolling. read more
