We had a life changing storm event that destroyed our house and cars at the same time we were supposed to be at our appointment and was unable to make it and Meg called me the next day ranting on me about how other people could of been seen and they are charging me for the appointment anyway. THAT RIGHT THERE told me that they are there for your money and not the people. If you want quality help go some where else

Review of Karen McCausland:…read more Karen is a very nice person and therapist and does an awesome job for basic relational counseling. However, she is not skilled or trained enough to deal with the serious "Cluster B types" of destructive personality types. She was not able to recognize the signs properly to address the real conditions of the person(s) I went to therapy for in the first place. Karen ended up traumatizing me, just as much as the Cluster B type of person's I was living with. Karen failed to remain balanced and objective during the sessions and would leave me worse off after every session I had with her and my spouse. It was crazy. Karen should have directed my spouse and I to a more qualified and skilled counselor. Karen made matters worse by siding with the Cluster "B" person I was dealing with, thus helping to turn my relationship into a complete nightmare, where I got marked as mentally ill. I found myself in an unresolvable conundrum... knowing that I was not mentally ill, but was being psychologically abused and mistreated by a mastermind for 30 years, who knew how to manipulate anyone and everybody. Karen is a nice person, but she is not qualified to deal with people with serious types of personality issues that fall in the Cluster B Category. Go elsewhere for assistance beyond minor relational issues and circumstances.

I had depression, anxiety, eating issues, immaturity....probably some other things. I was generally a confused young woman and thankfully there were enough people that cared about me; so I ended up in her office(s). I saw her on-and-off through my early 20's. She helped my value myself and navigate early adulthood. She had a profound impact on my life and I think of her frequently. There is another review on here that mentions Windex and I had to laugh...I do have a vague memory of Dr. Kardasz cleaning off a glass-topped desk at the beginning of some sessions. It was never distracting and I always felt like she was listening to me. I'm pretty sure she can do at least 2 things at once. Maybe even more. Some people are like that. Thanks again, Dr. K.

I am being charged $400 for three visits…read more My insurance said she was in my network and she reassured me that she was in the network listed on my insurance card. Every visit, she would be 20 minutes late and then charge me for an hour when i was only with her for 40 minutes. During my last visit, she just cleaned her office the entire session, duster and windex out and everything. She was preoccupying herself and just seemed the whole time like she had better things to do than listen to me. At the end of the last visit she told me that my insurance wasn't coming through and said that I would have to call and deal with the insurance companies myself. Turns out she was on my network but my insurance wouldn't cover her. I was furious even when i thought i was paying $20 a visit. Being a middle child growing up in a large family and always trying to take care of everyone and keep the peace in our family was no easy job but I had always read the peacemakers will inherit the earth, right. But I had put everyone's lives before my own and to do anything for myself I felt much guilt, I had lost who I was in the process. I was so depressed and couldn't figure out why. Karen told me when you are in the eye of the storm everything looks as it should, it's only when you take the step out of it that you can really see what has happened. I had put my own family on a back burner so I could take care of my mother and sisters and I tried to fill their every need. Karen is such an understanding and easy to talk to person just like her add reads, she really gets it. Don't get me wrong I cried a lot in our sessions but after each one I felt the burden lifting off me. I'm not the same person I was, I am finding my joy and I wish I could put into words how that fills. I hope this helps someone who is in the somewhat same place I was in. My son loves chess and has a hard time opening up -- Chad actually learned to play chess just to build that connection and create a space where my son felt comfortable. Should've read the reviews before I came in. Not the fake google reviews .. came in had an amazing…read moretime with my son. My son loves me. It's all on camera. We had a beautiful time. He kept telling my son to be quiet in a rude manner. He is a four-year-old kid excited to see his dad with autism and it's hard to control his emotions . You don't need to tell him multiple times to shut up when it's a kids place ... I just don't feel like a 70 fake cop would be a good fit for you to watch your kids I see no love in him or for the kids. All he cares about is the money. He proceeded to kick us out 10 minutes before he was in such a rush for us to leave there by 1:30 on the dot he wanted my kid to be at the door at 1:25 pm waiting for his mother do not go to this guy you can tell by his perfect taking care of kid is not for him. Vista counseling is also a small 10 x 10 space where kids have no room to play no room to do anything once again once again, I repeat, please check other places and do go off the fake google reviews he paid to be put on! There's a reason yelp. He has a two star review because it has to be a verified review from a real person not someone who you paid to put those reviews up for you.
