I could not have been happier with the experience of the photo shoot, or with the result. After I booked, Christina spent time talking to me about what I wanted from this shoot - what sort of image was I looking to portray, how I would use the photos, etc. She even helped me to select the most suitable outfits & accessories. On the day of the shoot, I'll be honest I hadn't slept well and I wasn't in the best of moods. But Christina & Nicole (hair & makeup artist) really turned that around! It felt so good to be pampered - having my hair & makeup done by a professional - wow! Nicole took the trouble to adjust my look a bit between outfits, and Christina made sure every shot was *just* right. She gave great directions, helping me to present my best self to the camera and have fun doing it. I felt like a model :) As we went along, she showed me some of the images, and I couldn't believe that was me! She made both physical & digital prints for me, and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback from both professional & personal acquaintances on how professional yet fun these photos are. I really can't recommend Christina Samuelson Photography highly enough - try it! I promise you'll be glad you did.

I hired Christina immediately. She exceeded all my expectations. I knew what I wanted and had thought it out but she also had questions for me on things I hadn't yet thought of. We had everything set up in advance so the day of the shoot went very smoothly despite the uncooperative weather. I've never felt more beautiful in front of the camera, but Christina instantly makes you relax and shine. And the fact that she tells you that you are stunning or gorgeous while she's shooting doesn't hurt. And you can tell she means it when she says it. You feel like a celebrity! I loved that we were able to accomplish everything we set out to do and her delivery was on point! She had a video and delivered all the photographs, both digital and printed. I've been so thrilled with Christina's talent that I have urged friends, clients and colleagues to hire her (and they have). If you are looking for fresh portraits and someone to make you feel the most beautiful you've ever felt in your life, hire Christina. She's genuine, loving and full of great talent. She's patient and kind. She's someone you want to be friends with. Plus you're investing in another small business woman which makes it even better. And no one that I know of will print out photos for you and present them in such a wonderful way. When I need new portraits done (for work or personal), I will hire Christina again in a heartbeat.

Our August wedding in Big Sky would have never been the same without Katalin's creative genius…read more Months before the big day, my mother and I met with Katalin for an afternoon of wedding planning on a brisk Saturday in April. After greeting us with hot tea (thank the heavens) and a tour of her beautiful studio, Katalin immediately jumped into making my wedding vision come to life. To say that we walked out of that meeting feeling excited is an understatement - Katalin was not only incredibly creative and professional, but her love and passion for her work had truly shone through. We couldn't wait to see what she came up with! When the wedding day rolled around, I was not at all surprised to see that Katalin exceeded all expectations. She created gorgeous floral wreaths for my hair and each of my bridesmaids, bouquets that were so beautiful that I teared up when I saw them, boutonnières that had the MEN gushing (seriously, not even joking! Who knew that men liked thistle?!), a ceremony arch dripping in blush and cream flowers as well as wild greenery, and even incorporated ethereal design elements such as blush feathers and wheat to act as a nod to my family from Oklahoma...it was a dream come true. As if that weren't enough (yes, I'm not done with my review yet)...we hired Katalin as our florist but she made sure to take the entire 'vision' of the wedding to mind when crafting her arrangements. Katalin stayed in contact with me throughout the planning process and would reach out to me with ideas that she had outside of floral arrangements to help to enhance other design elements unique to the day, such as the table arrangements and our ceremony site. (Case in point: My husband and I were married on top of a beautiful bison rug that she loaned to us a few days before the ceremony to help complete the look! Brilliant!) Long story short, we can't even begin to think of what our wedding would have looked like without Katalin. I could gush on and on, but seriously - this woman knows her stuff and will stop at nothing to transform your day into the most special and unique experience possible.

Everything she created was truly beautiful and reflected the aesthetic I desired perfectly. She worked so well with my budget too! I did find the planning and organization side of the process challenging, especially with me being out of state and more type A. Communication, structure, and organization weren't as consistent or helpful as I had hoped, which made some parts of planning more stressful. Overall, she's a talented floral and design artist, but if you're looking for strong logistical support or are planning from out of state, I'd recommend clarifying expectations early on!
