Now this is the kind of quality apple content that I came to Michigan for. We visited the shop for one thing and one thing only; apple cider donuts. After doing a round in the building we realized that the register was not busy but there was a long line for said donuts. Maybe there was enough ready in the morning but now the shelves were empty! We waited for a good 10 minutes but it was so worth it! They were fresh out of the fryer and still quite hot, so we were instructed not to close the lid of the plastic container (else they'd steam). Those donuts were out of control good... definitely eat them outside because that sugar is going to go flying. A half dozen is $4.75, a great deal! The staff were doing their best to deal with the high volume of customers and were surprisingly friendly given the busy state of the place. There were other pastries available, both apple and otherwise, as well as preserves and tacky decor. We ended up with a half gallon of cider ($.95), a quarter peck of apples ($3.50 for what turned out to be 8 ranging from small to medium), and a slushy cider. The prices are very reasonable for what you get and the slushy was especially great! And even when it melts, it's still good. (: We didn't go into the orchard this time (it's just my boyfriend and I and we don't eat a whole lot of apples), but I'd like to try it with a group of friends sometime. The parking is a little wonky but at least there is plenty of it.

Cider and doughnuts were the best!

Not a huge place, but they fit a lot in. I came during their Christmas setup. The main building has…read morea cafe, a candy making station, they have a santa set-up, and some general merchandise. Outside there were 2 food vendors plus a popcorn vendor. There was a gift store with lots of knick knacks, plus a sloth experience. Outside there is a play area. Then you get to the main attraction. There's a fenced in area with everything from baby reindeer to adult reindeer and a couple of llamas thrown in. They sell reindeer feed in small cups for a dollar. You hold it in your open hand and they'll eat it out of your hand and you can pet them at the same time. In another fenced area is the Highland cows, which you can't touch or feed. There was also a couple of Guinea fowl, an odd, but cool looking bird. There are also a couple of photo op areas. All of the animals were great to see and some are animals you don't see much of. I did do the Sloth experience ($33) for a 5 minute visit with up to 4 people. There are 2 sloths a male and a female. The keeper will tell you all about them and let you pet them, very cool. They were very neat to see up close and to be able to pet. In some ways they are cat-like. Their claws are impressive. Definitely worth the cost of admission. There is also a train you can ride for $10 a person. Also the general admission is $20 for adults. The service was very friendly and helpful. The person doing the sloth visit really seems to care for them and enjoy her job. Overall a 5 star review. Definitely worth a visit as a one and done. If you have small kids they might enjoy it yearly. Would I return? If someone else wanted to go then yes. Otherwise it's been there done that. Highly recommend for the 1 and done though. Didn't try any of the food, so no opinion on that.

Granddaughters loved this so cold but they loved everything. Sloth meet and greet was all booked…read morebut you could still see it through the windows. They wrote letters to Santa.
