My friend's son visited Texas Tire in Longview last Tuesday and spent $2,200 on brand-new tires and wheels. Less than a week later, while driving to work this morning, a wheel completely fell off due to their negligence. It is obvious they used the wrong size lug bolts and lug nuts, putting his safety--and the safety of others on the road--at serious risk. When the young man called the store, the manager refused to provide a corporate contact number and refused to help with towing the vehicle back to their shop. Instead, they told my him to handle it himself. This is completely unacceptable. A reputable business should own up to their mistakes and do everything possible to make it right. Texas Tire's lack of responsibility and disregard for customer safety is beyond disappointing--it's dangerous. I wouldn't trust them with another vehicle at this point, and I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere unless you want to risk dealing with the same careless service.
