The only food available on the boat was pizza (3 euro a slice of 10 euro a whole pizza) and wine (3 dollars a glass, 20 euro a bottle). I know that Marseille is not know for its exciting nightlife, so a lot of people seem to be sooo into the idea of having a 3-hour part on a boat. But honestly, taking into account the expense, I've had way better parties which lasted quite longer. It's a cool activity to do with a group of friends if you have nothing else to do and some money to spare. Which seem to be frequent symptoms among the young in Marseille.

They truly told us that they weren't (and subsequently me and my other English and German friends because we stood up for them) allowed in because we were not French. Tourists and international students beware. I've been here multiple times before and we never had an issue until our friends were heard speaking Spanish by the bouncers. When we asked why and protested to our treatment we were met with intimidating stares and people entering our personal space in an effort to scare us into silence. I've lived in France for six months now and hadn't encountered this extreme of a nationalist response to foreigners. It's extremely disheartening as I have had some fun at Trolleybus in the past. (Beyond that they don't stop people from smoking inside and you can't leave the club without cigarette smoke clinging to every article of your clothing and hair)
