My husband and I stopped by here on our way back from Normandy. At first, everyone seemed a little…read moreapprehensive of our presence because we clearly did not speak French, but we asked for menus in French, translated the entire menus for ourselves using our phones and guide books, and then ordered our meal in French. It seemed that once we showed that we were not going to be "pesky Americans" they softened up to us!
Let me tell you, the food was superb. Probably our best meal we ate on our entire trip to Europe. We had a bruschetta appetizer, escargot, steaks and baked potatoes, and an apple dessert. The sour cream was homemade cream- amazing. Our waiter (one of the owners) informed us that the apples in our dessert came right off of a tree out back (he spoke a little bit of broken English and started trying to use it later in the meal to communicate a little better with us).
If you are looking for some where with no tourists to have an amazing meal- look no further. If we ever go back to France and are able to take a trip out to Normandy again, we will absolutely eat here again.
