This market runs for a couple of blocks along Raspail, starts at the entrance to Metro stop Rennes and runs on down the street. Open on Tuesday & Friday and the organic market is on Sunday. They also have one of the best rotisserie chicken places ive tried anywhere, its an Asian man who owns that booth and his rotisserie chicken and roasted potatoes are just amazing, a small chicken is only about 6 euro which is a bargain in Paris. The minute I get home I have to dig into it even if its still breakfast time. Ohhhh and the cheese vendors are also plentiful as are the vegetable vendors, all of its so fresh and tasty!

Walk the short length of the market and I'm sure you'll find something you need or not need but want! Open on Sundays from 9.00am to 1.30pm. We were on the hunt for Poulet Roti.. the rotisserie chicken that's been talked about! Found three stalls that sell it. Compared to the poulet roti we had in Lyon, France the previous Sunday... I'd say lyon wins... but this is still good! We took it back to our hotel and enjoyed our little picnic in the room. (It was raining outside).. ok maybe we ate it there because table manners flew out that parisian window! Bahhhhh! Humbug!

The street itself has small Parisian cafes, cheese markets, rotisserie chicken shops, grocery stores, and to me is the perfect example of the Paris experience. After flying into Paris, I directly went to some shops on the street and nearby and bought some foods to enjoy. Credit cards are accepted here. Organic Cherries (10 euros for a kilogram) - These were the best cherries that I have tried anywhere in the world. I couldn't believe how great they tasted! They were so sweet and juicy. In fact all the other berries looked so good here. I then took some of my goods and walked to a nearby park near the Eiffel tower and enjoyed eating them as I marveled at the beauty and splendor of the Eiffel tower. It was an extremely relaxing experience, and the weather was perfect (mid 70's) for summer.

I…read morehappen to love on ave du President Wilson so Saturday mornings I sleep in and go back my food for the week right as they close, around 1pm, and love strolling up and down the avenue. Beware the market is mostly food not clothing or little trinkets but food is what I love!
