Don't let the name deceive you. Le Vent du Nord is a Beer Store, not a traditional depanneur.
Le Vent du Nord is the closest thing Sherbrooke has to a specialized beer store. With beers from 34 Quebec microbrews, it is the best way in town to explore the rich beer heritage Quebec has to offer.
Beyond the obvious Unibroue and St-Ambroise, some sample beers found there include: Brasseurs RJ (Blache de l'Ile), Bieres de la Nouvelle France (Blonde d'Epeautre), Microbrasserie Charlevoix, La Vache Folle (Centenial Double IPA), Shoune (5e sense), Les Freres Houblon (Reserve), and La Paysanne (Weizen Biologique).
The store is filled with beer glasses and fridges of beer singles, and they have some specials for which one creates his/her own 3 pack of different beers. The greatest thing is that they may come from different microbrews, so it is perfect to try different brews of similar tastes or to plan a beer tasting menu. read more
