Although I think the purpose of this place is to take classes in leatherworking, the proprietor of the store was so kind as to arrange to have someone fix a tear in my beloved bag within a very short time. I'm certain they cannot always accommodate rush orders but they did it out of kindness. Although they don't speak English they were forgiving of my caveman-style French and made an effort to make sure I understood. It was our last day in Paris, and one of my favorite stories to tell people after we got home.
I get many compliments on this bag, and when I tell them the story they are shocked! they assume the patch is an essential design feature and not an after-the-fact repair. Artistry!
If I were ever to stay in Paris for a while I think I would like to take his class and struggle through it with my terrible French. The students looked engaged, The tools and workstations are intriguing, and obviously the teacher is both kind and talented. read more
