We had friends originally from Italy who used to always host us for apertivo-type meals, and we've always enjoyed the concept of plentiful variety, instead of just a main entree. There were a couple of places we saw serving up even a greater variety of food, but we really liked the balance of quality, quantity, and presentation of the setup​ in Neaera, coupled with its nice quaint outdoor seating area. Pricing was phenomenal! The drink photo I posted equated to about $8 USD, which included the all-you-can-eat buffet. It was about an additional $1USD to add on the buffet​ as if the drink itself for about $7USD wasn't already a deal. What an absolute steal, especially when compared to what this would cost in San Francisco! Of course, given the bargain-basement​ price, this is far from high-end​ food, and I'm pretty sure they're not using fresh homemade artisanal​ pasta, but definitely a good variety of tasty food. Lots of pasta, fresh veggies, and all tasty. Just don't come expecting meat dishes. At least they weren't serving any meat last night. However, we've gone to similar apertivo buffets in Spain where there were​​ charcuterie and freshly​​ baked chicken being served. What a fun way to have a nice little economical dinner! I've yet to see anything even close to being on par in terms of quantity​ and quality at ​similar pricing at any happy hour in the San Francisco Bay Area!!

We had been looking for a bottle shop, but alas, all of them are closed on Sundays. We really wanted to get some rare Belgian beers, and out of nowhere, appeared Punto. Their bottle list read like a beer lover's fantasy novel: Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Westvleteren. The best part, the prices! We got a demi-bottle of Cantillon beer for 13 euros. I realize this is normal for Europe, but in the States this would cost at least 50% more - if you could find it. There is a large patio out front (for the smokers), and plenty of seating indoors as well. The inside is kind of Euro-hipster, with a variety of interesting beer posters on the walls. Punto feels like a locals-only neighborhood bar, but I did run into another couple from California while waiting in line for the restroom (typical Americans). If you are looking to get away from the tourists in the Piazza Maggiore, I recommend having a drink at Punto. It is a delightful bar, located in a very "interesting" side of town.

Hubby and I switched mid meal so we each had half of each pasta dish, neither of us could pick a favorite. The lasagne is cut into squares and baked so you have the best crunchy bits all round...what a great idea! I would be here weekly if I lived in the area! I felt a little bit like home, so it was a very nice atmosphere :-) Food wise, we shared polenta with my friend. It was pretty good, with bacon on top, but way too much food! I was full after that. Then I had some escalope with white wine (that I didn't taste) with some potatoes and salad. It was good but not unforgettable. The waiter was lovely and it wasn't a touristy place so I definitely recommend if you want to have good food in a calm place.

I can stand there and keep drinking espresso, cappuccino and macchiato... But what makes this Lounge special is their Fast Lane access through Security Control! At reception, you would be given a Fast Lane ticket. During certain hours, they even have a direct access through Security without leaving the Lounge. Free Wi-Fi access with no password needed. The first place that I came across was this little cafe. I had a cappuccino and a cornetto (filled with cream) while trying to figure out where the hotel was. The waiter, who I think was also the owner, a Chinese guy, helped out and pointed me in the right direction. The place is basic but a good bar and they do make a nice cappuccino!!
