Just to note this is not the address of the actual apartment building called "Le Royal Urbain", that is located at 3777 St Urbain.
Common areas of the building are overall kept clean and well-maintained. In my personal experience I've had no issues with other tenants, most seem to be young employed people or retired people, not too many disrespectful party animal students or lowlives. The building is conveniently located and prices seem fairly comparable to what one can expect in the neighborhood, the view is nice from either side of the building if you get an apartment high enough. It is not a great place to live if you need a certain level of quiet and/or darkness to get a good night's sleep, thanks to drunken obnoxious McGill students walking along St. Urbain and des Pins at all hours of the night screaming and fighting, and also its location directly across from Hopital Hotel Dieu.
While the building management seems friendly enough, if you need any repairs done to your own unit, or just in general have other concerns or problems, good luck with that. It seems the building manager derives some sort of satisfaction out of lying to tenants ("the repairs will be done next week")......... not sure why the repairs cannot be done in a timely manner or why she cannot simply be honest about the situation and the timeline but you really have to nag her if you want results. read more
