I've been here twice, both times on a Monday evening. A few tables of people each time, but restaurant very quiet, clean & tidy. Menu is pan-Asian, mostly Chinese dishes, some Vietnamese and Thai selections. I saw a neighboring table eating Vietnamese fresh spring rolls. The owner, a nice older gent, is Cambodian. I'm pretty sure he'll make you anything you ask if he has the ingredients in the kitchen! Soupe pekinoise (hot & sour soup) was very nice. Calamari in spicy sauce was rather good, but showed more restraint (in flavor and portion size) than you might expect from a US-Chinese restaurant. Dim sum I ordered were uninspired, but hey, consider the deep-France location. Closed Tuesdays.

That is, some distinctly Vietnamese dishes, but others distinctly Chinese. Others ... not sure. Saigon Palace is a buffet restaurant (all you can eat, or "à volonté") with Saturday day and most evenings price of 18 Euro / person. I think the weekday lunch price was about 12 Euro. We were one of 2 tables of customers during a recent Saturday lunch. The food seemed fresh and the variety was sufficient. If you don't like what is already prepared on the buffet, you have the option of selecting raw meats, fish, and vegetables, and the cook will "wok" it for you -- so that reminds me more of a Mongolian bbq. There were several varieties of sauces you could add (sweet & sour, spicy, etc.). I was happy to see fresh Vietnamese spring rolls and Chinese "har gow" on the buffet. While I cannot say the food was especially memorable or interesting, Saigon Palace deserves a special mention for being one of the rare (rare) Asian restaurants in the Creuse / Correze Department(s) of France. I'll be back.
