Inside, a very unimpressive decoration, the place is underground and small but it manages somehow to have a smoking area which of course is always crammed. Full of young French loudly singing along to French songs of the 80s and 90s that I didn't know the lyrics of - full immersion:) This is why I gave it just 2 stars, if you're not French you might feel like you're from outer space:) All in all, it looked to me like a tourist free bar in the busy Saint-Germain-des-Prés, entrance is free so maybe you could give it a try for a change;)

It is truly an oasis, and perfect in the warm weather to have a drink, eat a bite, hear music (at night). This truly is a neighborhood spot where you feel like coming back to make it YOUR hang out joint. I like it so much, I alsmost wanted to keep it for myself and not check-in or write a review! But this is about sharing the love, so here it is. Positive point in my book, prices are good for Paris and the place has not yet been taken over too much by hispters. Or maybe I have been at times when these guys are not around..? Guess I need to go back to find out. Super cool graffiti artwork adorned the walls and there was lots of seating, including some cozy couches which we sunk right into. We ordered a couple of coffees, a pastry, plus my co-worker got a veggie salad (our work conference hadn't provided many non meat options lol). My friend and I stumbled upon this bar while waiting for a jazz club in the area to open. It a…read moresmall, narrow but cozy space with a very friendly staff. The ambience was very casual and it seemed like locals and tourists frequent the place. When we visited it was about 8:00p- 9:00p, so it was busy but not crowded. There were plenty of seats in the front area, but the back room seemed to be filled. They have a good selection of beers at regular prices. So, if you are looking for a really casual place to hang out for a while, this is a good option!
