They have lots of wine, full bar and some great local drinks for the adventurous tourists, like pastis. I've heard that the oysters are very good here, but I'm so glad that I had the mussels dripping with blue cheese, perfect for dipping the generous serving of fries. We also watched one of the football matches on the large screen TV. Honestly, I don't understand how anyone can get excited about 0-0 for the whole game. Replays of shots going wide, heading the ball nowhere useful and a penalty that didn't matter in the least. Ooh, aah, zzzzz. Anyways, Carcassonne is pretty dead at night near the station, so I was happy to find a place still serving after 9 pm. As it turned out, this was a memorable, classy old bistro with real French atmosphere, fine generous servings of seafood and an extensive menu to choose from.
