When it was time to close, we still were waiting for my dad to return.. so he took care to bring us to a coffee shop nearby so we wouldnt be out on the street in the sun, Also, his pizza's are super good.. no joke. They are made of cornmeal i believe and really yummy. So we called to make a reservation a few days before. A good move, since the place was fully booked. On a weekday for lunch! Some folks without reservations had to be turned down even. We got a nice table outside on this sunny day. Our Bulldog was very welcome here and got some snacks even. Very friendly staff and owner here. Charming people. We've had the beef Carpaccio for starters and also the cold salmon/pasta roulade. A very unusual dish - but very tasty. The Carpaccio was excellent and for 7 Euros a real steal. For the mains we chose the gigolette de volaille and the lamb (from the shank). Both wonderful meals. The Volaille (chicken) was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender. So was the lamb - very good flavours. Also great fries. A bottle of Rosé from the Provence went well with our meal. Came together at just around 80 Euros. For two starters, two mains and a bottle of wine. Fantastic value. A really nice restaurant. Great meals, good quality, nice people. With nice Loire views. A great place to enjoy a lunch or dinner.
