So we drove across the bridge to Beaucaire and decided to eat here after doing an eenie meenie miney moe between the three restaurants that were open in town with pretty much similar menus. Ended up ordering the steak au poivre with house fries and a seafood salad with smoked salmon and surimi. We'd asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare but they ended up serving us a rumsteak that was close to well done. The smoked salmon was dry and repulsive by the end of the meal. Easily the winner for the most forgettable meal in France (or should we say hard to forget for the wrong reasons).

Not only is the wine great, but the people who work there are incredibly friendly. We actually came to this place a few times during our 4 day stay in Aix.One of the days we were fortunate enough to meet the owner and have a glass of wine with him. He's extremely friendly and really knows his wine. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. My husband and I fell in love with Aix and I think this little place was a large portion of the reason why.
