They were superior to any newengland oyster I have encountered. They were delicate, yet meaty and you could taste the sweet salty Bretagne coast with one slurp. Nice vinaigrette accomplice aswell. Then I had the rabbit. Prepared in an intoxicating sun dried tomato sauce with olives. After each delishus bite of the rabbit I chased it with an olive. Just fantastic. During the day, the Voile de Cuir is a saddlery but in the evenings it has around half a dozen tables set out in very a cozy, rustic room, with lots of quirky french quotes scattered around the walls. The proprietor, Jean-christophe, and his family are incredibly welcoming. We even got a guided tour of the workshops and the wood-fired oven he was building while we waited for our meals. The food is all locally sourced and organic and the steak (cooked in front of you on a charcoal stove in the middle of the dining area see picture) is to die for. The portions are also very generous.
