Wow, we were are a mission to visit the church in Touques that is the last place the family lived…read morebefore immigrating to Quebec in 1652. It was raining but its late September in Normandy so not unusual. We were all drenched pretty much to the skin but we were lucky enough find this place- ah the French Sunday lunch, a wonderful thing especially when in the company of my French son-in-law who is a foodie who knows his way around a menu and wine list. Lunch was great. They have a wood fired grill going in the kitchen and a ample selection of meat to go on it. Starters were good, the bread was truly inspiration and, it's Normandy so butter! Add salad, veg, potatoes, mushrooms, cream sauce, a good solid red wine- wow. Dried out and drove back to Versailles in the rain.
