The space is a little crammed given the number of customers. Recommend getting here early to grab a table or bar seat. Still, the bartenders are very attentive and quick to take your order despite the crowd. It is a little pricey but for the strength and quality of the beers, it is definitely worth it!

Unfortunately our waiter left half way through our meal and the guy who took over didn't seem particularly interested in giving us the bill or making us pay. He was far more interested in having a smoke outside, leaving the door open so that the customers could enjoy the sub zero temperatures outside.

Scotland Fire's a great pub, with guess what? Yep, a Scottish theme…read more Living in Lille as a poor English Assistant, this place served me cheap pints, and worked its way into many fond memories of that year. It's usually less crowded than its Irish pub neighbor a couple doors down, which is how my friends and I found it originally (we were looking for a low-key drink on a random weeknight). It's centrally located to many other bars and clubs in Lille, so it's great for a stop on a busy many-stop bar crawl, or just for a little change of pace before (or after) a stop at the club.

No one in the whole bar was Scottish or even British. They barely even spoke English. The decor, music, drinks and everything was far from Scottish. The 'O'Scotland' beer, their own beer, was more like a darkish brown Belgium draft beer. And it wasn't even good. In other words, far from Scottish, just using the name and that's it. Really, really disappointed.
