And for the big gourmands I deeply recommend you the special dessert of the house (called Bangkok I believe in any case the first one on the card) it's a gem ! A magnificent doughnut of apple (in no way fat or sure) overhung by a vanilla ball (house naturally...) and of supermarket yogurt in the toffy. Your papillae will go out of it delighted! The fish soup was basically a fishy bordelaise sauce; the sea bass was excellent although the rice was dry (how hard is it to serve good rice? And if you can't be bothered to ensure it's good, what does thay say about your restaurant?); and the pineapple carpaccio was interesting although ultimately uninspiring, being served simply with a scoop of sorbet. The amuse bouche was almost insulting, and the sweets after dessert bland. The wine was reasonably priced. This place has potential, but just goes through the motions, I suspect...

A normal selection on the menu but: Bread dry and very uninteresting could have been circulating since lunch. Cesar's salad I think the chef needs to go back to school. Fois gras okay but lack of innovation. Fish soup!! the best was the aioli. All meat was over cooked and vegetables out of a freezer bag. Terrible Desserts cheese not really worth talking about. We opted for a tapas style sampling of small plates: a hearty red tuna and langaston ceviche, a homemade fois gras that was among the best I've ever had, tender and rich warm artichoke hearts coupled with lardons, a simple and breathtakingly gorgeous burata (imagine a sack made of tender mozzarella filled with a creamy light curd-like cheese), and a cabinets served with hot and crusty bread. Thankfully one of the gentlemen in our party knew the owner and he put us at a corner table and told us we had one hour to graze the buffet (at full price, no discount) the waitress watched us like we were thieves and promptly threw us out in an hour. None of the niceties were offered to our table like the complimentary champagne cocktails being served to the tables with reservations. This kind of set the tone for the next visit. When I surreptitiously went to the register to pay as a treat for my dinner companions I was handed a bill that included a child. There wasn't a child at our table and when I tried to argue this fact several employees surrounded me and became very aggressive. Then the waitress who had argued with my dinner companions when we arrived with their dog in tow came over to join the melee. She pointed her finger at me and said, "YOU BROUGHT DOG!" and she charged us a child's fee for the dog. How was the food? Who would want to eat in a restaurant that condones such hostility towards the guests?
