When you sit down he explains everything on the menu and how he prepares it. I had a red wine that he recommended and it was delicious! For dinner, I had the duck. It's truly as amazing as everyone says! However, the unsung hero is the salad that comes on the side. The dressing is a sort of mustard vinaigrette that I've never tasted before but will definitely be searching for in the future. I also had the chocolate fondant for dessert and the chocolate was so rich I ALMOST ;-) couldn't finish it. The salmon was pretty fresh and a good pairing with the bread. For the main courses, we ordered the duck breast, truffle ravioli, and cod fillet. Service was quite fast, especially considering that the restaurant was almost full by the time we had finished our appetizer. The duck breast was very tender, and the chief sauce used was delicious! The truffle ravioli had delicious Parmesan sauce. I do wish there was a stronger hint of truffle in the sauce, but the dish was still good, as the pasta was al dente and chewy. The cod fillet had a fragrant saffron white butter sauce which complemented the tender fish well. I also really liked that it came with side vegetables, definitely a healthier dish! We ended with the cheesecake, which was smooth and creamy, with tangy raspberry sauce drizzled over. Delicious food, bustling atmosphere, and quick service! If the guy is the owner, that is even worse. He needs to learn basic manners in customer service. Moments later he felt his tummy turn and not in a good way. As soon as we got back to the hotel, I gave him some antibiotic. It's better to be safe than to be sorry. Service also was just so-so. Our waiter came by to take our order and after delivering our meals, he was not to be seen by our table again except when it was time for the check. A big plus for the pork wellington. They serve genuine "pata negra" smoked black pork ham from spain (see photo). Make sure you try it! Outdoor seating.
