The character of the entire hotel is so much more enjoyable than impersonal "chains". Service was wonderful-supportive and helpful. And the hairdryer was so much better than most hotels! Breakfast is great. Light and fresh- a great way to start the day. I asked for and received a recommendation on where to go for a run. I was sent down to the canal, and it was an excellent suggestion. I recommend taking a few euro with on the run- just to stop at one the wonderfully smelling boulangeries on the way back to the hotel. All in all- definitely a great choice if your travels take you to Beziers. I will be telling my colleagues to stay here and no where else while in town.

We stayed in the suite and it was comfortable - a little dated, green carpet, dated bed spreads etc. but the bathroom was really lovely and updated. Great views of the beach. Sea and pool area. Julie at reception was very helpful & friendly & willing to help with anything we needed - ie/ more coffee pods when we ran out. Housekeeping didn't refill as we're use to in the States. Air con in the room worked great. We liked having the living area as we could sit on the little sofa or chairs and watch tv. No English channels tho.. except CNN. Outside balcony from our room was lovely, maybe an umbrella would have been really nice as we got full am sun. Lovely to sit on deck and watch the world go by. Our stay here was very nice. The pool was lovely the outside bar area lovely. We didn't eat in the restaurant at as it was pricey.. Close to the beach town (where all the action is) you can walk along the beach for 1/2 mile to get to all the action of the seaside shops, restaurants & market alleys. Lots of fun kiddies arcades/bouncy type places on the way. We would def stay here again. We had booked this hotel with Expedia and wish we'd showed our paid receipt up front as when we were checking out we had to spend 25 mins trying to show we'd already paid up front for our room/stay. That was super annoying as the lobby has no air & we then got a late start. Given 4 star for service, facilities and location But if I was rating the room I'd really only give 2.5 star for dated decor. But 3.5 star for updated lovely bathroom with double shower heads. Driving down from Carcassonne, you turn to narrow straight road, lined perfectly with trees, that leads you to quiet town of Floure. Locals gather at the entrance to stare and greet, and just around the corner is a Chateau. Grounds are simply marvelous, old buildings, gardens, a lot to take in. Decent size rooms with AC (yes, it is unusual for this region - I am grateful for it in this hot summer!) Half-board is a good option to get if they still offer it, food here is very, very good. Dinner service, food itself, and wine, of course - all top notch. Local bread is delight. Strolling in the gardens or sitting by fireplace on colder nights after dinner, just enjoying the time here - a wonderful place to be. I WILL come back, Floure!
