NO DOGS ALLOWED…read more There is a polite and welcoming way to convey this information ... and then there is the way we were treated. We arrived at 19:30 on a Friday evening. There was a Garage waiter outside on his phone who held open the door for us and our dog. We were immediately halted by a member of the staff who pointed at the dog and waved his finger back and forth and pointed us to the door. Not a word. We did not find the "warm" and "welcoming" experienced mentioned here. FOR INFO: Le Garage is now an Irish Pub, as noted by the signs on the windows and everywhere and the darts and pints, rather than an American Bar.

Incroyable!! Le meilleur dîner de ma vie! Le meilleur restaurant de pau!…read moreTous les plats étaient cuits à la perfection! La service - 5/5!!! L'atmosphere est chic et intimate. La sélection de vins est vaste. If you are traveling through Pau, or staying in Pau (which is a highly underrated city, you have to stop by here and try it! Amazing, food, wine, and ambiance. The service was top notch! Each dish we had was cooked to perfection. It was a meal I will not soon forget. A place, where each bite you want to savor, and enjoy. Not a place to rush through. Not sure how many people will check this site for such a small city in France, but needed to spread the joy and love of this restaurant.
Review in English and French…read more This is an incredible little restaurant in Pau. We went there in June 2017 with a friend when visiting (I'm originally from Pau). I hear it's tough to get a reservation for dinner but we were able to reserve for lunch the day of. The menu changes all the time and what we had was absolutely excellent! It's very refined food without the attitude of a very refined restaurant. The staff is approchable and helpful. The wine list is also amazing and people are able to help you choose. We were three and all had appetizer, main course and desert with a bottle of wine. They have a standard menu which offers all three courses or you can pick à la carte if you want something else. The choices are limited, but that's usually a plus in my book when it comes to restaurants (study the Paradox of Choice). Everything we had was complex and excellent and the whole meal ended up costing around 100 euros (including wine). Really not bad for the amount of food you get and the quality of it! Very highly recommended. Excellente adresse!
All I remember is that this thing desert was amazing and that it was rosemary whip cream.
Tuna and cod (if I remember well) tartare with some roe, cucumbers and so many other things! So delicious.
Some of the best tuna I've had!
