The restaurant is very cozy and it was fairly busy yet we found a table after a short wait! We started off with a couple of appetizers: sunflower/pumpkin soup and eggs/potato quiche! For the main entrees, we ordered regional dishes such as sausage/pork with sauerkraut along with a very delicious venison with mashed potates! The food at this restaurant is extremely delicious and their cooking is much more German influenced rather than typical french food! The restaurant is located on a nice tree filled square. We ordered a salad which we shared, followed by a meat and fish main course. Both main courses were nicely prepared. My wife really enjoyed meat dish special with spätzle, I enjoyed the fish with rice (both pictured). Service was excellent. We also enjoyed a bottle of rose - the wine prices are excellent throughout Strasbourg. Highly recommended.

Not only is the restaurant beautiful, in an old wine cellar, but we had an amazing meal as well. My wife had the chicken and I had the pork cheeks. She said it was her favorite meal while in France. Fish and chips was a good portion of fish with a massive pile of crispy chips. A tarte with cheese and bacon. (And if you don't know, a French tarte is basically a flatbread pizza.) Bacon and cheese spätzle (basically, mac and cheese with bacon). We were all about the carbs tonight and it was all delicious. Lots of food, all easily shareable and the service was excellent. I don't know how "traditional" Alsatian this is, but it was yummy. We were here for close to two hours and at no time did we feel rushed.
