When the pizza is ready, they ring the bell and call out your name. Then you go inside and bring the pizza. We ordered Montagnette and absolutely loved it. You go to the counter and order your pizza and grab whatever drink you want. Then go sit down and enjoy a cozy ambiance and wait. Once that your pizza is ready, he calls your name to go and grab your pizza and take it to your table. It is a thin crust pizza with delicious and generous amount of toppings. It is as if you are eating an Italian food but with French taste in mind: Goat cheese, figs, zucchini just to name a few toppings. After you are done eating, you will go pay for your food and clean up your own table and leave. The price is very reasonable with each pizza being somewhere between 12-15 Euros. One pizza is more than enough for two people.

The pizza was thin crust with minimal toppings and cooked in an old brick oven and it was great. There were a lot of choices/combinations available and that included red or white sauce options. We had two different small pizzas and a house salad and I have to say these were larger than any small pizza I have ever ordered in the US. They were very busy which I assume caused some delay for my food but I was so caught up in enjoying the atmosphere and overall vibe that it didn't cross my mind once. When my pizza arrived it was beautiful and delicious. When it came time to pay, the waitress told me that my glass of wine was on the house because I waited so long for my food. I tried to tell her that I would like to pay full price because I didn't mind but with her speaking little english and my little french, it got lost in communication. But oh my. I think these were the best pizzas I have ever had, and I spent my summer in Italy this year. All ingredients are amazing (take a pizza with ricotta on it, you'll have a foodgasm), it is perfectly crispy, a foodie dream. Plus prices are pretty reasonable: €11-€13 for most pizzas, €4 for the best mango & speculoos tiramisu you will ever have. Seriously, go there. Not a problem, though, since every garden in the area has handfuls of basil easily at hand. We had three pizzas for about 24 euros - and all were great: nice chewy crust and plenty of toppings. Dan is also super-friendly. When I told him that, back in Toronto, I was building my own pizza oven in my garden, he came back with a giant container full of ground olive pits. Apparently, he uses them to prevent the pizzas from sticking, and they don't burn like flour would. Look for olive-pit-bottomed-pizza in a Leslieville backyard soon! Cash only, takeout only.
