And many restaurants and bars are all just a couple of minutes away walking. The Staff are all very friendly, several must be family members. They have a great locked ski room, with heaters for your boots and bench's to sit on to put on your boots. Breakfast is included like most hotels, but they may have the best! Rooms can be warm at night but the balcony doors can be positioned to let cool air in at night by turning the handle up and the top of the door will open.

There is always only one server in the restaurant at a time. You will wait 20 minutes to even get a menu. Then another 45 to get your food. Do not stay here if you can avoid it! Stay at the palace, or the Alpena. There are not any actual key cards, the keys are actual keys on very large wood blocks. The outdated style would be charming if the service wasn't so horrifically bad. They are shutting down anyways, but they are putting little to no effort into maintenance and service because of it.

Hotel reservation staff is incredibly rude. We booked a "quadruple room" online, being led to…read morebelieve it would have 4 beds. But after we booked, the email confirmation clarification said it was actually 2 "rooms" "1 bed"!! The kids would need to sleep on a shared pull out couch. When i called to cancel immediately after making the reservation online, they said their cancellation policy charges 100%! Reservation staff completely unresponsive and pretends to not understand English. I highly discourage anyone looking to stay here to look elsewhere.
