It seems very popular with the hipster crowd but based on my experience it can be a welcoming place for anyone. The two baristas were both cheerful and patient with my not-good German. The menu is very vegan friendly - there are vegan options for sandwiches and baked goods, and there's oat milk for drinks. I got a Blumenkohl panini, a Mandelkuchen, and a Chai Latte. I was a fan of the panini, the smashed cauliflower in was actually very flavourful with curry-esque spices. No complaints on the latte. The Mandelkuchen fell short of my expectations, I thought it was on the dry side, although the strong almond flavour was nice. If I had been able to see a cross section of this before I ordered, I would've gotten something else - the cake hadn't been cut into yet when I ordered. The other cake slices looked better. Everything is priced reasonably - my total was about €14. It's the kind of place I'd probably go to all the time if I lived here.

I had already marked this place off as a place to grab something to eat, however it quickly turned out that they don't do breakfast - it is basically a coffee shop that has some cakes but that is about it. I ordered a hot caffe latte and an açaí bowl to eat indoors. The barista was kind and actually had told me to pay after I was done with my bowl and latte. They are serious about their coffee and it shows with the latte art and also the acai bowl was awesome! Dare I say it, it was better than the acai bowls at Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville. I would go here again, for sure.
