A bit strange experience. We ask if could eat and he said after looking a minute, "what do you think, it says restaurant on the door". We took a seat and the man dissapeared. 5 minutes later he returned with a nice surprise, aperitif from the house. It became clear that there was only one person for the service and the cooking. Just one guy. More people came in and we were afraid it was going to take a long time. Surprisingly it went very smooth.
It was a menu: main course, desert, coffee. We had to choose between duck, steak, fish and steak tartare. Fish was smooth and jucy, steak was ok but a bit tough. Tartare was fine, we did not try the duck. Deserts also ok and fast served. Good coffee. We took 2 bottles of Sancerre (a nice oaked 2010) and a bottle op San Pelligrino.
8 persons, all in 200€, he rounded down the bill.
So in summary: don't expect a michelin restaurant, but you will get good food for a very democratic price! read more
