Fully equipped with umbrella covered tables and chairs. Wooden floor planks that remind you of a boardwalk. The beers are refreshing and served in their appropriate glass. Dear Château de Locguénolé, Your property is so amazing, I…read morecan't believe we stayed in a castle on a lake!!! Your prix-fixe dîner(also in the castle, in a charming candle-lit room surrounded by antiques from centuries gone by) was affordable and trés spectulaire!!!! We opted for the 5-course, and, as you said, "pas le probleme", I was able to have matching courses in a vegetarian version. I love how all of your edible floral decorations (I hope they were edible, but I'm still here, a week later) and many of your fresh herbs and veggies (and berries for the desserts!) came from your quaint gardens right outside the kitchen! I loved that the wine was so tasty that I wanted another bottle before I finished one glass! I loved the consistency of the dishes (all extremely yummy and well-presented) and the smoothness and politeness of the service. I just loved everything (including my company, of course!) and can't wait to visit you again. Swoon, to be in France again...those were some of the best dishes I've ever had in my life and my taste buds will never forgive me if I don't come back. and lots of , Xoxoxox Liana

We had a table by the windows and enjoyed a great meal in the cool evening breeze. We chose the fixed course menu with wine pairing. The dishes were all local seafood with a Japanese twist. Flavors were complex but not overpowering to too rich and the light Japanese influence the chef put on the dishes was perfect. Preparation and presentation was impeccable and the staff/service was great. We speak very little French, but the staff there were very accommodating a patient. The wine pairings were perfect as well. Best of all, we simply had to walk up the stairs to our room after our meal and several glasses of wine. Pairing the restaurant with a night's stay at the hotel is a must-do.

Apparently they make world class Mojito's as well, because there was a big selection of flavors. I opted for the cidre breton (when in Rome). I ordered the crêpe Seguin avec chèvre, jambon cru, tomate et oignon. It was fulfilling, moist and had a slight crunch to the crêpe du blê noire. I was totally happy with the €8 price, considering the location and scenery, they could have easily gouged a tourist at €12. Bravo! My only request would be that the filling would be spread evenly in the crepe. I found most of the procuitto, goat cheese and tomato in the center. Oh and an added garnish of pesto on top was a nice surprise! The service is what you can expect while in Brittany, pretty much non-existent but with a smile. With that said, if you even glance in the direction of your server they will attend to you toute suit! There's indoor and outdoor seating with large beach umbrellas to offer shade. Oh and there's plenty of parking á côté de la plage, so bring the family or vos amis and enjoy this little gem.
