They have everything from full bodied red wines, whites, rosé and Champagne. You buy the bottle in the store. If you would like to enjoy the bottle at La Grande Cave or just have a glass of the bottle, corkage is €8. The light food is well presented, is of high quality and is very individual depending on the waiter. One dish can be garnished with paprika and strawberries by one and with tomatoes by another. Interesting and authentic! You can also buy wine by the glass. They have red/white/rosé of the day for about €8 with higher quality than neighboring restaurants. The winestore/bar has about 6 small tables in a steep alley located in central Villefranche. During high season there is a calm flow of people strolling by. The environment is beautiful with a glimpse of the harbour. This is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. Maybe buy a bottle, have a glass of it and finish it with dinner at home or at a restaurant nearby?

So we made plans with a stranger to come back for dinner. The menu really sounded interesting and you can't beat the view. Right along the water front where the small boats are. So we came back. I got an NA orange drink that was delicious. I got the shrimp popsicles to start and for my meal I got the octopus. Now for me octopus can be dangerous. I've had it done places where it was gross and places it was pretty good. Here it was absolutely delicious. Charged a little and in this sauce with sweeter tomatoes. Thank goodness we went on the bike tour today if we would've totally missed this place. It's just a line of restaurants down this one street. You gotta go check it out if you're here.

They let them swim in the pool while they are not attending private area. NOT FAIR!!! After we went to have lunch at their restaurant. Food is horrible, fish wasn't fresh. The service is poor quality. Waitresses are screaming to each other which order to take or which table to serve. Also, make sure to check your bills. The bottle of wine was added to it when we didn't order it. Not organized at all!!!

My guess is it's Kazakhstan or some former Soviet republic. Very particular about forcing you to sit as close as possible to the road.

The sea bass for two was really impressive, being prepared and presented in a salt crust. We were also celebrating a birthday and they brought out a delicious strawberry cake with sparklers! It was a great experience and we would all return and recommend this restaurant!
