Starting with the people who greeted me just inside the door, people smiled and spoke to me, making me feel like family the first week. You will feel comfortable whether dressed casually or more formally. The pastor greets people in the sanctuary and lobby before and after the services. He reads and uses scriptural passages in his messages, applying them to life situations and showing us how we can better live our lives according to God's plan for us. This is a church very focused on ministry and service, with many opportunities to serve. There are also several group prayer times at the church during the week.

Gayle's Mom used to be famous as the lady who polished the silver, and she has certainly given many years to the betterment of this Parish. There have also been a few family-related occasions of which we tag along for Mass, even though I'm not Catholic. I do appreciate the pageantry and that like a Jewish service, you can walk in late and always know where you are in the ritual.

Gayle and I arrived in Town just in time for Christmas Caroling at the Genoa Community Church, followed by a short walk over for the Tree Lighting. Santa Claus also arrived (via Fire Truck) and cookies and hot chocolate were served. I love small town events like this, especially the Rosy Red Cheeks of the Little Children.
