Recently, the stylist made a mistake that had to be rectified by cutting my hair very short. I hate the cut and asked to come back a few days later for some more adjustment. I also requested a meeting with the owner to discuss being charged for the adjustment cut. I was told by email that I would be granted no meeting and that she believes the cut to be the result of a "mutual misunderstanding." Even though the stylist told me last week that he would adjust the cut if I requested it later, this has apparently now been retracted. I have been a loyal customer of this salon for years, and have even weathered another botched cut with them. The stylist made a mistake in the cut and acknowledged it at the time. Our four-years long relationship started when another stylist made the same mistake, and he started correcting it. I recommend that you try another salon if you want to work with people who will acknowledge loyalty, address concerns cooperatively, and seek to build a relationship.

They are very personal with each person, and I really would be wrapped if I worked here because all the staff are all so lovely and friendly. I have had beauty done there regularly, hair and makeup. They have the best foot pedicures and use great quality products. I have even received a bottle of wine each time around Christmas to say thank-you for being a regular! Its a great salon if to go to if you are a girl wanting quality and great service. Its not a cheap salon to go to but the prices are worth what you receive.

Being a bleached blonde with damaged hair, I'll admit I'm not the easiest client. But quite frankly a visit to the hairdressers used to give me the shakes, nobody could seem to get my hair the shade of ash blonde I desired, and the long hair I craved went up in smoke as it would be snapped away. And then by miracle Toni K became the only salon I knew close to my home. Twelve months later I am a devoted client; making my way to the salon every six weeks to pamper myself with a cut, colour and treatment. My hair is now half way down my back with not a tint of brassy blonde. I've never been one to enjoy the banter of forced conversation between hairdresser and client, but the atmosphere of the salon combined with the genuine chit chat between hairdressers, Toni K himself and clients alike gives the salon an olden day barber shop feel with all the modern trimmings of a modern salon. I simply can't speak more highly of the results I've received. Every time I leave I feel like a million dollars, ecstatic at my cut, colour and the price I've paid for it all. If you decide to book an appointment, Astin is a tried and tested professional. She is respectful about what you want and is able to pull it off with perfection. And if you're a guy, the girls can look after you just as well, but you might want to test out Toni K; I've seen him work his magic on quite a few fellas who are obviously regulars, and all I can is the man certainly deserves a self titled hair salon.

I've sampled several hair salons in the year since I relocated to Melbourne & in Slinky Hair I think I have finally found my go to salon. The prices are on a par with any other salon of it's type in & around Melbourne, but for me it's all about the service as much as the price. I'm not a fan of being passed between the colourist, to the stylist, to the junior & back to the stylist again, for me I prefer to have just one person involved in the hair cut & colour process. Slinky Hair is a small boutique salon with three hair stylists Kon, Oliver, Georgia and their delightful apprentice Mariah. Oliver tended to my tresses and actually managed to pull of a miracle in creating some texture & give a feeling of fullness to my frustratingly thin/fine hair. It was nice to actually have a stylist listen to what you wanted & not leave me with a style that I would be unable to replicate once I'd left the salon. I was very satisfied with both the colour & the cut. It was a very personal experience and with a selection of teas and coffee on offer I was never without a drink or reading material to browse whilst going through an enjoyable process rather than what has in the past felt more like an endurance test. For once I actually left a salon feeling very happy rather than rushing to tie my hair back after having had my hair styled into a bouffant mess. I'm actually looking forward to going back for my next appointment rather than being filled with fear!!!

She was very lucky to not loose hair, and she had to get an item to end it. I do NOT reccommend this place, as the hairdresser that may still be there might do it to you. I do NOT reccommend "Golden Hair Image" as of what happened to my mum.
