I took in a Head Board and Dressing table that has been in the Family for over 80 years. It was in…read morea terrible state and did not have the heart to get rid of it. It had been my Moms Aunt's and my Mom used it for many years. My wife and I got it over 25 years ago and it was perfect for what we wanted. I came across Steve and Marlene by Accident and eventually took it in when we started renovations at home. Steve continually kept me informed even though it took a while. When I got it home it was a jaw dropper. It came out so beautifully and just just looks so great. My Daughter now 30 has claimed it for the future and thanks to Marlen and Steve it will out last all of us. Contact Steve or Marlen for my number and I will definitely recommend them. I am now on the look out for other great stuff for restoration and my Dining Room Table and Chairs are next. Good things take a while.

I took pictures and measurements and sent her and she arranged to have everything there for my booked appointment. Unique Upholstery & Design asked me to bring it in early in the morning and said they would work on it as soon as I got there. They were true to their word. I dropped it off at 9;30 AM and I picked it up at 4:00 PM on the same day with all the work done. Because I was from out of town, they worked with me so that I wouldn't have to wait for several days. I still had to make sure to work with the company to book the appointment and for them to get the materials needed but they went over and above what I had expected. As for the work, it was top notch. But NOT AT ALL pleased with sofa and rocker, covered in a different fabric: the fabric showed piling within three months & now is showing stretch marks as well. No-one, when taking our order, suggested this might not be the best material for regularily used seating. Also, seat-cushion foam was replaced with much thicker foam, so cushions no longer wedge under back cushions, but now float & end up on the floor. Finally requested that, when old fabric was removed, all the things that had fallen through to the bottom be bagged and returned to us. However, Nottingham staff chose to ignore this very specific request and threw out whatever they found. They had made the determination - on our behalf - that "it was just junk" .... makes me wonder what valuables turned up that they chose to keep. Overall, can recommend workmanship. But Nottingham Upholstry did nothing to ensure our long term satisfaction with their work.
